My mate reckons it's the best Chinese in Southend. Never been before...is it worth going?

Old school and cash only but it was pretty busy for a Monday lunchtime and there were several Chinese customers who presumably know their stuff.

In a shift from my policy of eating exactly the same lunch 5 days a week, I've now decided to have something more substantial on days when I run in the evening due to me upping my mileage. So today I'm having a BOL sweet potato katsu curry what I got from Sainsbury's, and very nice it is too.

If i was working in HR,... I believe this is a strong case for an instant dismissal for who ever made that decision !!!.....I mean what next?? a nationwide ban on pickled onion Monster Munch or worse still Frazzles!!!

As someone who regularly eats various types of fish, I've never had Pilchards in my life!!.
No idea why, & add Sardines to the list as well.

I hate oily fish.

Apart from Tuna and smoked salmon.

I used to work with someone who microwaved peppered mackerel at lunchtime...

canned sardines may also be sprats, which are amazing fried. Whitebait is also a catchall for young fried fish like sprats, sardines, etc.

I do like a bit of mystery meat on a deep pan pizza after a few beers.

I had a doner meat pizza once in Sheffield and it was great.
