Unfortunately, when you are Match Sponsors, you are under pressure to choose a MOM, despite the mediocre show on display. Jack Payne was the pick of a very poor team performance as voted by our guests tonight :unsure:

The worrying thing for me is Jack looking at the rest of this team and thinking 'more of the same next season'. If Brown manages to persuade him to stay, he'll deserve a medal or at least a bottle of Ambre Solaire

Worral and Deegan would have been better options IMO.

Only one player deserved it tonight and that was Worrall. The only player along with maybe Barrett that seemed to give a ****. Payne bottled so many tackles, looked like he was playing for himself tonight and not the team. What has happened to Coker? Barnett can do one, hope we are not pinning our hopes on him leading the line next season. McLaughlin played ok, at least we had a threat down both wings. But overall very embarrassing performance and not one if a team fighting for the manager

Well the decision was hovering between Wozza and Payne for MOM - however, most felt that in the first half Worrall should have put at least 2 very good chances away and in the 2nd half he drifted right out of the game with very little fight.

Agree with you, whole performance was one of the worst - but personally I would lay the blame for that at the door of PB not necessarily the team. We are playing to a system as derived by him :'(

You cant be man of the match when you miss two sitters. Being fair, yes he did have a reasonable game, but at least one of those chances should have been buried.

Even Jack P would not have voted for himself tonight. A poor display by his own high standards, and apparently upset about it in the dressing room post match. Jack has been excellent in some games this season but tonight certainly was not one of them as not much came off for him. Nobody was outstanding but a 5 or 6 were better than Jack on this occasion. The match sponsors have paid for the right to chose their man but that doesn't mean we have to agree with them.

No-one is saying you do have to agree, I am just pointing out that the MOM is something that sponsors pay for as part of their deal and as such they and their guests get asked to choose someone.
No-one is disagreeing that the whole team was undoubtedly poor tonight but in our opinion Jack was the least poor - not sure why everyone gets their knickers in a twist about a cheap bottle of champagne :winking:
