what a shame !!

As absolutely tragic as baby P's case was, nothing is ever reported on where social workers have acted and removed children from danger - according to Radio 5 yesterday a man was jailed last week for similar abuse and the judge praised social services for acting so quickly. Strangely I don't remember reading or hearing about this in The Sun or on The BBC.

I can see this going full circle and next year Social Workers will be pilloried from removing children from loving homes where there is virtually no evidence of abuse as per the laughable Satanic abuse allegations in the early 90's (I think).

Not really strange. I wouldn't consider it news that people actually do the job they're paid to do.

I agree with your general point MK, but er... surely if you heard it on Radio 5, you did hear about it on the BBC?

What I mean Rusty is that the media always focuses on the negatives and very rarely champions the positives, therefore making the general population think that the country is going to hell in handcart.

Tell you what, you've got the bones of a cracking idea there.

Lets club together and make a newspaper which lists all 60 million of the UK population, weed out say 500,000 bad eggs, and list them all by name and report on what a good job they've done today.

We could have a promotion offering a free lorry with it, to carry the newspaper home.

Once again, Brigadier Carl of the Right Wing delivers the truth. Can you handle it?
