Wembley tickets

TFL - Not their fault. They gave advanced warning.
Wembley - Not their fault, they told NL the max attendance, they hired out the stadium as agreed.
Oldham & Southend - Not their fault.

National League - Took the risk, hoping that the final would be any combination except Southend vs Oldham.

It's a farce, but it was a calculated risk. Any of FGR/York/Barnet/Halifax/Rochdale/Gateshead playing ourselves or Oldham would have made a 35k capacity crowd make sense.
No- ourselves, Oldham and York are the top three supported clubs and all three in the playoffs- so any such gamble would be utterly inexcusable and reckless

I saw a comment somewhere about Oldham fans changing at Watford and getting to Wembley from there which is perfectly feasible. However unless I’ve read it wrong the Manchester Euston isn’t stopping at Watford. Is it doing an additional stop in light of the game, a standard set down only or have I read their timetable wrong?
There’s always a way around things
Some are going from Leeds for instance
My train up from Bexhill takes just as long to get to London than the trains from up there that are 150 miles further 🙈

I think you’ll find that hey wouldn’t schedule the FA Cup final when the lines are closed.
But that's exactly what did happen. Ok, it was a semi-final, but same venue & issue.

I agree the gamble is reckless, but when NL found out about the maintenance work, we were probably 4 points off relegation...

Oldham vs York was always a possibility though, but the train prices would probably have kept the attendance below that 35k limit/shoved a lot of fans onto coaches.

Hopefully the good first day sales from both clubs will prove the potential for this fixture and add even more pressure to getting more tickets as I have said before…. MONEY BEING LEFT ON THE TABLE

I think again this is where loyalty points should come into play, for home and away games, I get people can't afford STs at the time of sale and probably attend alot of games over the season, so they should take priority over people who are going just for a day out. As in loyalty tickets should go on sale before general sale. But, how many home games have we sold out this season?? 1 or 2 off the top of my head, and we have an allocation of 17500, that's double roots halls capacity so should be plenty of tickets, and we will probably get more if the club source more coaches. The only other thing I don't really agree with is 4 per ST, and that is me as a season ticket holder. Probably should of been max of 2, I also didn't take my full allocation.
Probably the most rational post I have read on this thread. Thoroughly agree.
I, like everyone, feel that the lack of planning and foresight is ineptitude on a grand scale from all parties, but 17,500 plus additional 1,900 for coach travellers is more than double our largest home gate of the season. It is far more important that our 8,500 regular or near regular fans get priority over glory hunters. Hence my agreement about the daft idea of allowing 4 tickets per ST on day 1 of ticket sales.
