I ummed and aahed before purchasing flights, because ticket details hadn’t been announced. However, no flights on Saturday to UK meant I would have to fly Friday (there are not flights to UK everyday). When I cjhecked there was only 1 seat left, going out. I was not aware about TFL closures, but that’s not unusual in London - there are always weekend engineering works. Accommodation, in Central London was cheaper to do non refundable, possibly a mistake now. Therefore coaches would not be an option if I’m in London? To be fair, I left the UK some months ago so I’ve not been to Gateshead, or Rochdale or FGR, however the chance to see my beloved Blues at Wembley (again) meant heart over head. I genuinely didn’t think we would sell out even accounting for distance friends/relatives that turn up for such occasions….I'm not sure if I am classed as a 'daytripper' or Tourist? I have been a supporter since my Dad first took me when I was 5 in 1968. Never a ST holder, but I have supported the team Home and away since then. I now live overseas and because of lack of transport options I have already shelled out close to €1000 in flights, trains and accommodation on the basis its Wembley and it will not sell out. Therefore i have a little bit more than a parking space at stake!
I think the £75 is £40 for the coach and £35 cat 2 ticket - plus a booking fee!Coach Travel
The club will be selling coach and ticket packages for the game. These tickets are Category 2 tickets in Block 206 (initially), priced at £75 an adult and £58 for concessions. Please note a booking fee will be applicable to these tickets to cover the cost incurred.
So are they seriously suggesting that people should fork out £125 for this match? Good to see them looking after fans.
It does not say anything about 17500 limit on the ticket information on OS.
that is how I read it and the booking fee is £4.50!!!!! - that is what other supporters have paid for hteir ticketsI think the £75 is £40 for the coach and £35 cat 2 ticket - plus a booking fee!
I spoke to my friends they have 4 seasons and are getting 5 tickets so should be okWell, I won’t be taking up our full allocation. There’s 2 season ticket holders in the house and we’re only getting 3 between us so that’s 5 left for other people!
That is the biggest loads of bollox ever, laughing my head off!Doing the rounds on WhatsApp, has anyone else heard this story?
“Right. Straight up facts from the club, they’ve just emailed after I asked what the delay was.
DAZN and the national league are furious that the semi was ruined by the pitch invasion and Gus was almost seriously injured, thus damaging their product and the perception of the league.
For this reason, the NL asked Wembley to reduce our allocation to 17.5k, but the club have said that’s outrageous and unfair, pointing out Oldham fans were on the pitch at York too. So the NL said fine, we’ll apply the same to Oldham.
Now the club are panicking as they know we could potentially sell twice that number and have agreed with the league and the FA they will identify everyone on the pitch and ban them from the final.
Only once they’ve given over all the names and proved the fans on the pitch will not get a ticket, will the NL and Wembley and DAZN agree a higher allocation.
The police are helping pore over the footage and it’s understandably taking time.
Frustrating for everyone, but it’s been ruined by those who couldn’t contain their excitement and heed the warnings clearly issued during the game.”
Exactly the same situation. Live up north. Taken my kids to 9 matches this season.I'm genuinely gutted about this, living up north having a season ticket isn't really possible.
I do manage to get to most of the northern away games and this season I've been bringing my 7yo and 9yo son and daughter. Both of whom love the atmosphere and tell their friends that they are Southend fans, quite often singing the Harry Taylor song at a tiny village primary school in north lincs.
Now it looks like I won't have the opportunity to take them to a Southend match at Wembley because of poor project planning from TFL and the National league.
What is the point in booking Wembley when less than half of it can be used?
‘As a result, there is currently 17,500 match-only tickets available for Oldham supporters with the potential of an additional 9,000 match tickets for supporters travelling by coach.’Oldham been given 26k**** this
Hi all, hope you're well and excited for Wembley after a quite incredible last two games. Just wanted to thank the club for an invite, I'll be there to cheer Kev, Benno, Daz and the boys on very loudly indeed.
In the dark times of 3 or 4 years ago I bought the 3 amigos a ticket each for Liverpool's League Cup final v Chelsea, primarily to get away from the stresses and strains of the time with a little bit of fun with each other on a day off. They had a lovely time and hopefully it was one of a thousand experiences they've had together which culminates in them, not Liverpool or Chelsea in the dugout and pitch on June 1st. How cool is that!
A sincere thanks to Rylee, Tom and Consortium for thinking of me, it's very much appreciated.
See you at Wembley for one last dance.
Stan.
