Taylor Swift concerts get a pass thoughThis is the most aggravating point of the whole thing. ****ing nanny state we've been obsessed with 'safety' ever since the pandemic, it's as if fans aren't adults who can make their own decisions and make their own way there FFS
I agree, add Brent Council into the mix, but I think local pubs and shopkeepers wouldn’t. Old Trafford used to be able to do it for cup semis though. (Less of an issue for league and other cup games).I think there's a bit more to it than that. Let's be honest Wembley can be a nightmare to get to and from and without Wembley Park I think the local council just doesn't want 50k+ football fans loitering and getting frustrated for two hours after the game.
I blame the National League for putting us in this mess and I'm sure there would have been reluctance to open the top tier anyway because of costs but I'd imagine Brent council are the biggest barrier to overcome.
PLUS coaches. Surely corporates will help smash the record even before further increases?Capacity increased to 48000 our allocation now 21500
Tried every block. Couldn’t get a single ticket. Will try again later. Hopefully more tickets will open up![]()
Come on to X light up social media - I’ve been posting but needs us all on the caseLatest Promotion Final Ticket Update:
We have now received confirmation from Wembley Stadium that the enhancements to the rail services into Wembley Central and Wembley Stadium will enable the capacity for our promotion final to be increased to 48,000.
That will increase our allocation to 21,500 plus tickets sold with coach packages. Please note these additional numbers need to be released in two tranches (due to some coding requirements that Wembley need to undertake).
The first tranche has been released already, the second tranche will be release tomorrow - we will give some notice in relation to that.
At the time of writing this statement we have about 5,000 tickets to sell (over two tranches), yet we have 600 supporters queuing in the car park and 8,000 queuing online. We are confident we could sell in excess of 35,000, so whilst we are pleased with the progress that has been made, we are still pushing all stakeholders to think creatively and to find solutions that can safely increase the capacity further.
Awesome. I'll be singing my heart out, hope you can hear me!Just above it!
Im round Mother in laws today (well it is Mothers Day) and no WiFi. I’ve already been on my phone for the best part of 2 hours but have just given NL (your primary target above) a bollicking. I will do more back home later this afternoon. However if individual twitter handles are known for those in responsible positions within NL then I’m happy to fire off to them too, as I suspect the Admin person will just press delete. It’s Twitter address that are needed- then it’s very visible gets shared and multiplied and provides maximum pressure- email are fine but only seen by the recipient and easy to ignore.
