Thanks for all the suggestions but it doesn't look good. That said, I do have tickets for Inter Milan vs River Plate on June 25th in Seattle.I've given up trying to get tickets and canceled my flights. Glad I didn't try and save myself a few bob by getting flights without free cancelation conditions.
Other than that, balls. Going to go to the Club World Cup instead. A poor substitute.
No, I don't think that's how it reads unfortunately. Looks like 3500 total with 2400 already sold? Hopefully you're right and I'm wrong.27.5k, we have already sold 2,400 coach tickets.
We've already sold 23,900. With an additional 3,590 coach packages onsale at 8:30pm. Takes us to 27,490 If we sell-out of this extra allocation, which is very unlikely. No, I don't think that's how it reads unfortunately. Looks like 3500 total with 2400 already sold? Will that cause undue issues for those running it though? If you can afford it. Pay the £75 and just dont get the coach. The club cant exactly encourage you to do that. But that's the only way you are getting to the match at present if you haven't got a ticket. Absolute joke, but that's where we are.
No idea, but there's plenty already going to do that. Dont blame them either. If I was outside of Southend I'd be doing the same. Not sure how the club or league, police, council etc can stop that from happening. This is assuming all coach packages will be e-tickets like everyone else of course. Will that cause undue issues for those running it though?
I assume people paying for the coach seat will pay for the coach...I hope we sue the national league for all the additional costs we have had to pay for coaches etc
I think this is the problem between supporters and day trippers
St holders should have been given one ticket each , then go into general public either online or queue like the old days
Would be seriously ****ed if a Wet Sham day tripper took a Southend fan spot , just to laugh if the worse case scenario happened and we lose
Our average gate is 8,0000 , so plenty to go around to oversea fans and floating supporters then the day trippers
Just my take
Just want to say how refreshing this is to hear the transparency from the club regarding this.
Utter madness ...... the league have no brains.I am so frustrated as I live in Suffolk, I can find my way there, why should I pay extra for a coach, it’s mean I potentially pay £125in total to get a ticket, which including a train from deepest Suffolk to Southend just to get a coach from there!!
Oh that's a good idea!!! Don't we have to have proof of coach bookings though to get tickets released? I bet there is some clause in all this .....This joke of a rule should be dismissed like the nonsense it is. If I was Justin I’d not book the buses, charge fans and give them a voucher for the club shop or put their name down for a shirt. Stick it up the ****s.
I’d well imagine Justin has the lawyers all over this.Serious question, (as I’m not massively clued up on this sort of thing). Is there any potential that the club takes legal action against the NL (or whoever else is deemed to have responsibility) for losses as a result of this debacle, as well as lost revenue? Not only that, but the potential loss of repeat custom from casuals who might have attended Wembley and then gone to home games etc.
Impossible to quantify an exact figure, but can imagine it’s not insignificant. Would that even have legs? Or does the cost of even pursuing it make it too much of a risk?
After reading the club’s update I’m just so angry about what a complete **** up this is.
Well yeah true but still I think we should sue them anywayI assume people paying for the coach seat will pay for the coach...
