Chances are that Police spotters will have either caught it on camera or hopefully identified whoever threw it.
Let's hope so, why does the club have to suffer because of some idiot!

The club put on free coaches and cheap tickets to get the team a big support in the play off run in. Yes they didn't play well and didn't get the result. But that doesn't make it acceptable to do things like this.
People keep bringing these smoke bombs to the games. It's costing our club money and you're ****ing it up for the fans who are not ********s. Keep doing stupid things like this and they will put bans on away fans. So just leave the ****ing smoke bombs at home!
Several bottles were thrown as well. It's just disgraceful and ruining our reputation.
I know it's wrong to be throwing anything but when the muggly home ***** are allowed on the pitch and then stand in front of our fans giving it large, yet the stewards do nothing, it can be massively frustrating to say the least
Ok, so it was their last home game of the season and they had just secured safety from relegation. I'm not saying that their behaviour was ok but you can, at least, understand it. Doesn't ever excuse throwing smoke bombs at our own players.
You can understand their fans standing in front of our fans, offering them out, knowing full well the stewards wouldn't let us on the pitch or stop the Shrews fans doing it? I can't understand that at all
See, the whole thing is pathetic.
People were on the pitch. A few (not many) decided to flash a few gestures.
People were in the stands. A few (not many) wanted to join them for a bit of fisticuffs and flashed a few gestures.
Some dick threw a smoke bomb that might have hit our player. But could have hit anyone.
Stewards and police did move those on the pitch away from the stands (particularly note the charming couple of ladies who came on after everyone else).
You cannot justify, unless you are moron, throwing a smoke bomb onto a pitch full of people.
I never at any point justified it.

You're excusing it.... pretty much the same thing.
No i never excused throwing a smoke bomb at all. I said I can't understand why the shrews fans were allowed to goad and give it large in front of our fans. Nothing to do with throwing a smoke bomb, which I'd never condone

Absolutely Ricey, too many of younger 'fans' think making an aggressive statement is more important than actually watching the game and supporting the team. 'Oh we got one over Shrewsbury cos we gave it large and threw a smoke bomb,'
Please just **** off! It's boorish, I'd like to think we're not into turf warfare, the old days have (thankfully) gone. I don't think the recent thread highlighting the old offensive chants from the North Bank helps either. I was there in the early nineties and found them great as a teenager. Now I've grown up and realised most were inappropriate, it's a shame some others seem to still revel in it:sad:.
For some reason when we have a big away following it brings out the knuckle draggers. Shame.
