i was impressed by the number of fans you brought up yesterday, more than alot of other so called bigger clubs have brought to the stadium of light this season. you got behind your team at 2-0 down, and at times generated a canny atmosphere. i particularly like 3-2 we're gona win 3-2.

i read one of the posts about the atmosphere etc and i think the fact that some of our fans left before the end when we where 4-0 up was an embarasment. i know it happens at other clubs but at the minute it seems to happen alot at sunderland and it gets on alot of the other fans tits aswell including me.

anyway i hope you all enjoyed your day and had a safe journey home etc. and wish southend all the best for the rest of the season and you never know we might meet you in the premiership in a few seasons ;)

p.s dont listen to that mag spouting **** about getting jumped and our fans being ****ers and pretending to be a southend fan, you might notice that he only joined this board after the match yesterday.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, I certainly think you have a good chance of automatic promotion now. PS What happened to the team that played at Roots Hall at the start of the season? You must be very impressed with Keano!

if keano hadnt taken over it would have been sunderland fighting to get out of the relegation zone too. we where in total free fall after last season and even the mighty quinn alone wouldnt have been able to stop it. i personaly think we have one of the strongest teams in the league now, totaly unreconisable (sp) from the one that was played off the park at roots hall.

Thank you for your post, it is really nice for a genuine Supporter to come on the Shrimper Zone boards and wish us luck for the rest of the season.

I live in Aberdeen as you may of gathered and got back home at about 3pm today. It was my 39th Birthday on Saturday and my better half treated me to a weekend away in Sunderland encompassing the game and i have a fab weekend, (the result aside)
We stayed in the Rocker Hotel on the seafront and really enjoyed it.

Good Luck for the rest of the season, I do think that you will get in to at least the playoffs and i also know that we will escape relegation.

I'm on the plane home in the morning and then get ready for a comeback against Palace Tuesday night! Been up to the Northumberland coast today, Warkworth is lovely and I got a good pint!

Best of luck on staying up lads you seem like a canny club and well done on bringing up a fair few considering the journey etc. :)

cheers mad_mackem, yeah we had a great day etc and must say i was very impressed with the sunderland fans, they were so helpful. and really helped us alot and also when we was in sunderland city centre surrounded by mackem fans there was no trouble. Good luck to ya and i for one would like to see you get promotion

GROUP HUG!!!

:hilarious:

...not the usual "big-club" mentality we're so used to seeing on these boards. Makes a miserable 4-0 dominated morning seem just a little pinker and fluffier.

I`m not a mag mate. I assure you we were jumped near the town centre. Not all of your fans are like that I know.

Best of luck for the season, hope you go up.

cheers mate.

great stadium, great fans (the corner bit especially) really good team.

had a great day out, shame it was a thrashing and would have been much better to see our team play as well as we know they can but eh you can't win em all.

think you will deff go up this year, be very surprised if don't. good luck

south west corner thats where i sit, whole stadium used to be bouncing like that, when we finished 7th in the prem, slowly but surely the atmosphere is coming back along with the big crowds . i was very impressed with how many fans you brought up and they did make quite alot of noise considering the score
