Watching ifollow on TV

No, I've seen no response from their chat. The 3 other times I've tried opening a chat, nobody responded at all in two of them, and took until about the 80th min of the game the other. And then just told me to clear cookies and ended the chat.

i have them on chat again, anyone else 'spoken' to them
told me to clear cache (which i had done) , did it, worked for 30 seconds (which was actually a massive improvement), then had to go back to phone
I did (several times) tell them not to lie to customers (they said there were no issues). i told them to google ifollow problems, lots of clubs sating they are speaking to ifollow and there is a widescale problem

complaint /refund email now sent

Ifollow worked perfectly. Even though it’s not supposed to work by connecting iPad to TV via Apple Lightning adaptor it actually did this time. I’ve no idea why.

Could not get iFollow to work on my laptop last night kept freezing. Decided to order a pizza, eat that and then head up to bed, get comfortable and arrange my smartphone on my chest when laid down in bed its easy to view.

Rewound to the kick off and watched about 5 - 10 minutes before the screen went blank and it came up "Feed Ended" I didn't realise it had a time delay on it. I assumed if you paused it you could watch it an hour or so later. Lucky it was only 10 minutes in. That said the app worked really well. Shame they can't do similar for laptop / desktop viewing.

Might try mirroring my phone to the tv and see how that goes for Saturday.

After last night debacle from the ifollow platform I believe it's time for the Trust on behalf of all supporters to get together to consolidate a plan to get EFL to improve this service.Yes it does seem that some supporters weren't affected but looking at this thread majority did have issues.I have contacted Rhys at the the club and waiting his answers to my email but a overall approach as one body would be more effect. The more supporters that subscribe to the service the more monies the club will get so it's in their interest to assist.Do the trust agree with me?

Thanks for confirmation. If you need any info re my particular issues happy to oblige
I have received an Email from Rhys Ellingham at the Southen office.
To quote " Last night and again this morning I have contacted the EFL regarding the ifollow nightmare from last night, from speaking to fellow clubs it was not just us, it was EFL as a collective and I am waiting from them to confirm a statement and also how they are going to reimburse fans for the error on their behalf.
As soon as I hear backI will get in touch with yourself and apologies on the matter, it is frustrating for us as it is out og our hand, but I will ensure it gets sorted`

I will update when i get further reply

Last night was the first time I have had trouble using my laptop and hdmi to TV. I had to watch it on my IPad. I tried to switch back to the lap top at half time and the feed was significantly behind that on the iPad. Then it just buffered and kept buffering so it was back to the iPad. They seem to have more trouble in the evening than on Saturday afternoons.

I use a Chrome browser on my tablet, which enables casting to my TV.

Tried it a couple of games ago, and the picture is good, but The stream was really laggy. Gave up in the end and just watched on my tablet where the stream was perfect.

I’m not much of a techy, but I know my WiFi is pretty ****, so I’m not sure if this played a part or not.

I'm going to test it using the highlights from yesterdays game. Its not a live stream, but should have the same qualities to enable me to determine if I should set up to watch on my smartphone (which is 7 years old) or go with my laptop (which is works and is brand new just before Covid)

Re my earlier post , mirroring doesn’t work- it’s audio only.
I added that on my complaint email

what’s really annoying is I didn’t get a screen shot of the agent telling me there were no-issues despite me Saying it was all over the internet And I follow had acknowledged there was an issue

Can you request we have financial reimbursement and not another game please?
I have had enough of their tenth-rate service so that the last thing I want is another wasted 90 minutes watching their trashy streaming.
I thank you.
