An interesting comment. He's had one clear chance to which the Welsh keeper was alert enough to block. He's worked hard up front and linked with other England players to keep moves going. I'm not saying he's been brilliant, but ****? I don't think so.

First touch has been poor, passing/layoffs been poor, lost most of his aerial duels, just all round ineffective barring that early chance. I would be happy if I ate my words but nothing so far in his performance inspires me.

It was good to see Wales make it to participate in the World Cup but overall they were pretty poor over the 3 games tonight they hardly laid a glove on England.We should be able to beat Senegal which will be a harder test for England after that it becomes a much harder if its France but you never know
