Wow! That would be amazing if we could sign 4 or 5 players before Saturday. Shame we couldn't of had the, earlier so they had time to gel and bond with the team.

Would be a turnaround. Just hope it isn't a cunning pressure on Ron tactic by Brown.

Brown had the end of last season and all close season and with Saturday approaching fast, still talking of more to come, what a joke. He will be getting J Kyle in again next to add the circus fun.:smile:

Good point, I hope not because I would really like at least a couple of decent signings to get me in the mood for this season. At the moment i fear the worst, and thats even before the usual fun and games trying to get in with renewed season ticket on Saturday.

"Hopes" .... doesn't sound too positive IMO.

Brown is the manager and knew what he had to do and he has failed, simple. Yes that is negative but how low can Southend go after the way PS was treated? We will be lucky to stay out of the Conference, trust me.

In all honesty i'd say it looks likely it'll happen what Brown has said there. But if it is a cunning pressure trick on Brown's behalf and nothing materialises then I'd say he might be close to exiting. But my hunch is the new players will come in.

He may know the players he wants but maybe hasn't revealed them. Instead using a tactic of pretending to be chasing others. Not his fault if he can't register them cos of the embargo. If he says he has players lined up, which hes just stated, then he knows who they are. But again the prevention of them not coming in earlier is not his fault.

I say that as his first 6 months wages are due to be compltely paid. This was why with this in mind I wondered if he was putting on pressure on Ron. A type of thing he has balls to do. and if nothing happenns then after his 6th months worth of wages he might then be off.
