A friend of a friend tells me freddy isn't even included in the squad tonight

If this is true this is an absolute joke from sturrock! My patience has run out with him, seriously lost the plot

An absolute insult to freddy and i expect the same "he isn't fit" fob off from PS

But did Freddy really do anything Saturday? IMO he did because he scored a goal, he did little else though and went much of the game un-noticed. Freddy is pretty lazy and I don't think he's the sort of player Luggy likes, after the game he said on bbc essex that he thought Freddy did pretty well and that was hardest he has seen him work but it sounded far from convincing to be honest.

Britt needs to take a seat on the bench, don't what's up with him lately but he isn't looking himself at all.

Bentley
Clohessy Mohsni Mkandawire Straker
Hurst Lund Laird Reeves
Corr Eastwood

Paul Sturrock has already announced that five players face a fitness test before tonight's game. Is it not conceivable that Freddy could be one of them? I don't see the reason to immediately jump onto conspiracy or favouritism theories when one doesn't know the facts. It sounded to me that Eastwood did just about enough to earn at least another start tonight but if he ain't fit there's not much to do about it................apart from, pray that BBBC IS!

Think that we'll win this one. Finally have a good home performance. 3-0 Blues. Corr, Mohsni and Eastwood. ATT 5,109

What is a strikers job? Score goals, did he score?

Also assombolonga was woeful! If he starts and ffreddy is dropped from the squad altogether then I find it a disgrace.

Like I say this is from a friend, but if true I find it embarassing

Alos Fred might be one of the five injured. For me, id have Tomlin, Britt, Corr and Harris ahead of him all day long. The goal Saturday was the Fred of old, the rest of the game he did nothing. Unfortunately he has been the biggest dissapointment of the season, and i do believe if PS really thought he was worth a place in the team he woudl play him, i just think he hasnt done it in training and certainly not when he has played.

Even though assonbalonga hasn't been great lately I'd still opt for him up top because with branston at the back all that is needed is a little bit of movement and pace and he is out of the game! If we go for Eastwood and corr we are playing into his hands as the ball will be more direct.

To be fair, first half Britt looked lively alongside Freddy. They were both making intelligent runs which was causing their defence to split on numerous occasions. It was only when Freddy started to tire that Britt didn't look himself again. Once Tomlin came on Britt once again looked lively.

Being left out of a squad is not an 'insult' to any player. Managers pick the team. Players should know their place, Freddy Eastwood, Lionel Messi, whoever.

That said it would be a bizarre decision seeing as we're short on bodies and Freddy was on the scoresheet on Saturday.

It is an insult. That's how I would take being treated like that.

Freddy is NOT injured and is NOT in the squad tonight

Call my bluff all you want, this is the truth

First you say a 'friend' told you , which appears to cover yourself in case it isn't so , and then you are more decisive , as if you KNOW FOR SURE.
Which is it ???

It has to be Eastwood and Corr. Britt is way too easy to read and way too easy to mark out of a game. All other teams need to do is send a scout to one of our games, watch Britt play and then stick 2 players on him to mark him out the game as he's not particularly strong and can't hold the ball up.

Wasn't freddy ill last week? Maybe that could be why. He hardly had a cracker on saturday anyway.

I'm not sure what your first point is because in my post I said I thought that IMO Freddy DID do his job purely because he scored BUT little else to make himself a certain starter.

As I said in my post before the one you commented on, I am a big fan of Britt’s but I think he should be on the bench tonight. Its seems to me the amount of games he has played has caught up on him and also being without Tomlin has put him out of form but for too long now. I think bringing him and Tomlin off the bench with 20 mins to go would be a great move. I would start Corr and Eastwood tonigh (if both fit).

Freddy fans are still hanging on to the memories of the old Fred but we have to be honest he is a shadow of his former self, I’m sure he still has the ability but he is lazy, un-fit and doesn’t really look interested anymore. Hopefully his goal on Saturday will really push him on and he can get another one tonight but this season for him has been a very poor one whenever he has played. Perhaps he needs games, but in order to get games he needs to show more, look like he wants to play more.

If another team is "sticking 2 players on him to mark him" then i would most definately play him as there should be plenty of room for our attacking midfielders to run into....oh we haven't got any!

And my point is that regardless of what freddy does, whether he is fit or not, whether he bangs in goals galore in training, he will always be overlooked by sturrock as he wasn't his signing, this is clear by shipping woodyard out when surely we need all the bodies we can get.

And as a result of doing so, this demotivated players, leading to them looking or appearing uninterested as u stated
