Three out of the next four league games away , so need to pick up a decent number of points otherwise we could lose touch completely.
Sturrock says that Britt and Tam are available , but Prosser suspended and BBBC and Cresswell doubtful.
As much as I would like Eastwood to start , If all the above is correct , I expect line up would be something like :-

SMITH
CLOHESSY , PHILLIPS , BARKER , STRAKER
HURST , LAIRD , MKANDAWIRE , TIMLIN
ASSOMBALONGA , TOMLIN

SUBS : BENTLEY , WOODYARD , MARTIN , LEONARD , BENYON , EASTWOOD , COUGHLIN

Good call - I too would like Freddy to start - but suspect Luggy will go with Tomlin

I'm assuming Mkandawire will be used in midfield , although understand he also plays CB.
If Luggy plays him at the back , then I would keep Woodyard in CM and move Barker to LB.
TBH I don't think Woodyard has done too much wrong , but guess he will be taken out of the firing line for a while rather than over used.

If fred is fit to start, play him, he is never going to get matchfit sitting on the bench. Things dont go well for him, yank him of, but no good moaning about his fitness levels, and leave him sitting on his arse.

I think just substitute him is enough...............

Defence looks a worry without Cresswell. Straker is pants and Barker has looked better at left back.
Timlin should play in the middle not out wide, I think Luggy will probably go for a 3 in centre mid with Laird and Tamika and then play Britt,Tomlin and Hurst as a front 3.

Would be nice to get bragging rights(ie at least a point)out of this one, as I'm going to a Brizzle supporting mate's belated 50th do in a week or so's time.

Think that's about right. Either 442 or 433

The line up I would like to see is this:

Smith
Clohessy Phillips Mkandawire Barker
Hurst Laird Woodyard Timlin
Assombalonga Eastwood

So corr starts, scores and is injured again.... Seriously!!!!

Think it's more of a case of he woudn't last 45 rather than injury. Might make a bench appearence but would expect him to be in the team for Satrurday, on the bench though not starting.

This.

But believe that Luggy will go for the counter attack option which will require pace - therefore cannot see Eastwood or Corr starting - sadly.

You can have all the pace in the world, but if you are positionally poor, and cannot pass the ball 10 yards, and stuggle with your control, you may as well join a running club.

Saturday was the perfect opportunity against a lesser defence for him to have a good game, and build some confidence (much like Corr did)... however, he got completely outplayed by whoever was marking him, much of it by his own making

its a shame really, as he could do so well... and in the past, i was very patient with the likes of Scannel etc, who took a while to come good... but i just dont think with the current squad and the need for promotion we can be waiting on players to come good.

I totally agree, I would not play him but my point was that I believe Luggy will.

I think it's time Tomlin was dropped. He's not been good enough for us so far.

Agreed.

Not to mention he hasn't been good enough in his career. Had one mediocre season in league 1. Every other year has been v poor. He failed miserably at Daggers and without age on his side I did wonder why on earth we signed him.

Saying that I gave him a chance but now it is winding me up that he can have consistant bad games along with embarrassing finishing and still starts every game.

Cheapest option available I guess...................
