Useless Kitchen appliances

I didn't realise Karl Duguid was a kitchen appliance.

The wife went to the Ideal Home Exhibition last year and decided to buy this 'revolutionary' cheese mill which takes all the hassle out of grating cheese. It's actually a load of crap so never gets used however in her infinite wisdom she bought two 'just in case something happens to the first one'. So now we have two cheese mills sitting there pointlessly.

What exactly is the hassle in grating cheese?
This is the kind of Sh!t my wife comes out with.

I have lost a lot of sleep over the years thinking I may have missed out on something big by not buying a Breville Pie magic.

In general if a kitchen product is made by K-tel or Ronco it is going to be crap.

I cant believe the lasck of respect ebing shown to the toastie macker, y so many Zoners. Expand your horizons my friends, it is a marvelous invention.

As far as uselesss kitchen stuff in my kitchen, mainly random cake related stuff, that are used once in a blue moon (not by me!). Apart from that, most stuff in the kitchen is used by me or housemates, the art of being a student, use everthing, leave nothing!!

Another prize for the raffle then..:) ..Can't you chuck your car into the raffle aswell B:confused:

I did by a potato ricer off of Ebay that was crap and buckled after a couple of mashing sessions.

Bloody Gordon Ramsay....

I like the look of that hands free tin opener that is being advertised at the moment.

In general I am a fan of hi tech solutions to problems to which there is a perfectly satisfactory manual solution.

I dont like Vibrators either.

To be fair mate, these should be sold with a woman that doesnt mind dragging he ar5e out of bed early,
We have one of these (slow cooker) but its used for keeping food warm rather than cooking.
I think according to Mrs C the average cooking time for one of these is eight hours, now I eat my lunch at 12.30 which means kicking her out of bed at approx four am, in order to prepare and get the cooker on in time so lunch isn't late, and my schedule for the day thrown into disarray.
I think once she did get up with all good intentions but then fell asleep on the sofa downstairs.

Bung all the stuff in the night before, use a timer and bingo food ready when you get in from work, Works for joints etc as well , plus its really hard to over cook with it. I would say that the Slow cooker, the George Formby and the microwave are the most used appliances in our kitchen.
Stupid things like the large class cheese plate with a cover have just been chucked after 15 years and they were still in the box

I have mentioned this to the wife, but she is claiming it will delay supper...as she will be out there doing two things at once.
A feeble excuse I know, but why ruin supper because of her laziness?

Is the same wife who does the decorating, washes the windows and mows the lawn while your on the lash down the Spread on matchdays? For shame

We got a veggie steamer as a wedding present, never been used & now gathering dust in the garage.

Have to admit I've not used my panini press as much as I thought I would, a toastie maker seems so much easier!

One thing I couldn't live without is my espresso machine, although that's looking worse for wear now & is probably in need of an upgrade!
