Two years ago today

It was a great day Johnny, a day when Little Southend (thats little Southend, stil bigger than minute Orient) officially became the best team in the world. I stand to be corrected, but no other club has a 100% record against the current European Champions?

Some of us have beaten them in a League match ;)

Anyway, I have a fairly vivid memory of that evening. I just don't want to talk about it :D

Strange but I suppose you could say it was the highest point of Freddy's career...... so far. I wonder whether we would have hung on to him a bit longer had he not scored such a special goal which really catapulted him into stardom and the limelight.

Ohh what a day.. the first and only ever time i have had to sit in the East stand and it was worth it. The cold night in RH carpark was well worth it after the Hull game.

Funny things happened that night, basildon have a powercut so my family watching on TV thought it was a conspiricy and the floodlights had gone meaning the game to be replayed

Happy Birthday to both of you, and I shall be raising a glass to Freddy later on this evening.

What a night that was. It was incredibly exciting to see our lads take to the field against the might of ManUre, then to win. Amazing, will never forget it.

"who the **** are man united, who the **** are man united, who the **** are man united, and the blues go marching on, on, on!!"

I also have a huge framed photo on my wall of Freddy wheeling away in celebration with Gower - you can see Ronaldo walking away head down in the background

I have one of Efe Sodje winning a header against Wayne Rooney. Rooney looks like he doesn't know what's hit him.

I've got a picture of the score board reading 1-0 and Ronaldo and Richardson setting a free kick up with Maher and Clarke is shot as well as Darryl.

Happy St. Eastwood day everybody!

I know the picture well - it's been the wallpaper of whatever mobile I've been using for the past 730 days!

I was on honeymoon (bad planning). Watched the game in the George and Dragon, International Drive, Orlando. Best bit was queueing for 3 hours for a ticket for my dad. He supports Man Utd and hated every minute of it!!

Classic back to the wall defending from us for the last 30 minutes , we just kept dropping deeper and deeper as a back 10 and i swear it put 15 years on me that night .

As a club we have really moved on , just goes to show what its like as a manager at this level , greatest night of my generation and yet Tilly has had to bring in around 25 new players since that night witha ta least 15 going the other way .

Makes you realise how hard it is to be a manager at this level , you over exceed as a player in a team managed by a good manager and you will be snapped up by the bigger fish leaving the cluba nd manager in limbo ...........all because he is doing a great job.
