Two years ago today

Yes its two years ago since that wonderful night when manu turned up with Rooney and Ronaldo in their team and were sent packing out of the League Cup by the mighty Blues.

They should make the 7th November a bank holiday in Southend to celebrate that result.Think I will watch the game sometime today to relive that wonderful game.

I have been watching Southend for 32 years and been there for all of the highs and far more of the lows and that was the greatest game I have ever seen.

One thing I won't want to repeat is how drunk I got that night, I really suffered the next day but it was worth it

Two years already, crazy. Will never forget that night, especially my mates grudging admission at how well we played. Walking round my school in Northampton the next day to hear people talking about Freddy Eastwood and Southend United was special.

I have a constant reminder of that game as I have a picture on my wall which is signed by Sir Freddy Eastwood himself of him taking the free kick. :) I will never ever forget that day it was one of the most amazing feelings ever to experience your own team beating such giants like Manchester United. Lets hope one day it may happen again?

Yeah that was good. Shame that my dad could not get tickets. I had a feeling something special was going to happen. 2 years ago? only feels like a few days ago.

That also makes it two years since my girlfriend moved to the UK from her native Israel. It meant watching the Man Utd game in a bar at Stansted Airport and being utterly astonished at what I was seeing. God, what a night that was... ;)

anyone want to load up some wallpapers, i think i need a background change!

Is there anywhere you can get a copy of the game I know they used to sell them in the club shop. I never bought one but would like a copy now :(

I also have a huge framed photo on my wall of Freddy wheeling away in celebration with Gower - you can see Ronaldo walking away head down in the background

It was a great day Johnny, a day when Little Southend (thats little Southend, stil bigger than minute Orient) officially became the best team in the world. I stand to be corrected, but no other club has a 100% record against the current European Champions?
