TV Sets

also look at www.hdtvtest.co.uk for reviews

john lewis will only match prcdirect if they have a sticker price on the item.

plasma is the one to go for if you don't play video games and will just use it to watch TV and movies. if you are a video game player then lcd is the way forward.

as for hd sky or cable services i am currently not joining the race because there are currently not enough channels which broadcast in HD and alot on them are just upscaled which the TV or your amp can do. sky connected with a good quality RGB scart cable will produce a very good picture.

ofcourse hd-dvd and blu-ray is the way forward. awesome picture.

remember don't be fooled with the displays in comet, dixons, or john lewis as the sets have not been setup correctly. you would think that they would and the signal they receive will be a poor one as it'll be spilt between lots of tvs.

if you money can stretch to it i recommend the 50" pioneer plasmas, just awesome tvs, and samsung lcd tv and very good for the money!! i have the samsung 40" m86 which you can now pick up for just over £700 on comet.

Looks the dawgs to me....

And yes I agree, they are expensive for what they are. There are cheaper, equally as good alternates. I just like Sony and thought I would treat myself.

Heidi from the Sugababes looks extra lovely on it so its money well spent as far as I am concered :D
