Trust Loan To SUFC - Statement

Be great if he got involved. I can see it now "GK, you're a lightweight. You're fired" :D

I think Alan getting involved in SUFC is very unlikely mate. I'm expecting the good news to be stadium related next week.

What does this mean?...

The Shrimpers Trust was informed that the delay in this repayment was due to the ongoing implementation of working capital investments by Southend United FC, which had taken longer than originally envisaged.

This doesn't make sense. Surely any investment has to be in Southend United, not by Southend United.

Unless they are using "investments" as an obfuscatory euphemism for borrowing.

I expect pictures of Ron with shovel in hand, and no less

What will he be shovelling though.....

No the club would invest in working capital - things like shop stock, food, etc. This 'investment' is realised as punters buy it (and new stock is not purchased).

Afraid not mate.

All I have been told is that some good news is due to be announced next week.

Have to wait and see I guess. Although it does feel like something positive is brewing at last...

Its the middle of next week. Please can we have some good news now?

That comment was made on 2nd March mate. I think Dave Webb coming in last week was meant to be the good news. Unfortunately.

Then again. We have the RM Q&A coming up....

Hmmm, so the good news was infact, er, bad news with a little bit of a nostalgic sweetener thrown in? There was me hoping it was still to come, just delayed a bit like most things SUFC - ho hum!

Hang on! Wasn't webby supposed to be not even thought of until after Mr Brush had left? Surely it wasn't all arranged before Brushy got the push :whistling: ;-)
