He is never going to score loads but he is a decent foil and the best choice we have and yet he still get relentless stick.

See, this annoys me - why not? he's a professional footballer, position striker/forward/attacker - why is he never going to score loads?

I think he's a decent player at this level and his game is multi dimensional, but I don't see why he should be excused scoring goals....admittedly though if he was prolific he wouldn't be with us. But I would now like to forward a motion that it be made illegal for these sort of comments to be made. I thought the same about Carl Emberson, he was a great keeper, he was just never going to save many shots :smile:

Agree with most on here. Unfortunately some fans just have to hate someone and BS is an easy target as dad's the manager and in the knockers eyes his selection must be nepotism. I havent heard that he was injured on Saturday, so it would appear that fan pressure lead to his exclusion for Patterson. Paterson actually had a half decent game tho and I thought the 15 mins just prior to being taken off was the best he's looked..............but after a year its about bloody time!

Are you suggesting his father is playing him out of position so other clubs don't come in for him ?

Doubt it. Probably more the case that there are few other options up front. With the exception of Corr and Sturrock, none of our other forwards are particularly experienced. It is a lot easier for inexeperienced players to be introduced into a winning team. Unfortunately, in the current climate and with recent performances and results, a longer run in the team could have a detrimental effect on the younger players.
