Not sure I'd want Akinfenwa, yeah the guys pretty good but he is so out of shape it's beyond a joke. Never seen such a large professional footballer, at some point thats going to surely affect his fitness as he's getting older.

Ahh, then you never saw archie gemmell playing for derby or frncis lee at man city:smile:

Cant see Akinfenwa coming PS was interested when he first took over but we as a club could not match his wage demands. Now we have Harris, Dickenson, Benyon, Corr, Sturrock, Asante, Bilel, Paterson who can all play up top. However the competition will be the first 4 and we may see Asante, Paterson and Blair off this month.

If we are going to bring in four I can see that being Timlin, a left back and a right winger or centre half.
I cant see the Tomlin from daggers being true when we have Lee Sawyer who could play there when fit

What will be interesting is what of the players are going to be making way now

What news of Matt Paterson? Surely with only 2 goals scored for the Accies and I think his loan expiring on 1st Jan 2012, he could be sent back to us.

You missed out Crawford ..so 9 attacking options when all are fit.....I just hope we can off-load some of the surplus ones but I just can't see other clubs rushing in for them.

He is already back with us.

Timlin, plus another striker, left winger and perhaps a left back also needed IMO...

But we really need to shift a good 7-10 players asap as well.

According to "that" website Paterson is going to Celtic to join up with former blues Hooper and Mulgrew hahahahahahahha

Great news, but "Left back on trial" didn't sound too good .... thought we might have another Ryan Hall problem on our hands!

Just another in a long line of triallists we have had over the last month or two.

We had Ryan Halls brother in a couple of weeks ago!...

Very few prove to be of use. But, left back is certainly a position we need to strengthen in. Hopefully O'Connor proves to be useful.

Well at least Luggy is looking in the right direction. Most people on here have thought we need a decent left back, and judging by some of the comments on the link this guy just might fit the bill.

Totally agree. I have spent so many years like others thinking we need to improve here and there and then the Manager makes a sigining in another area and you think why? With PS, in the summer i think we could have all predicted who would go and who would stay, exception maybe Easton and now we have all been saying that we need a new striker or two, well one in so far, left back needs strenghtening and he is looking at that right now. Its refreshing to think that the fans and the manager are thinking along the same lines, just wish it was the case with the style of play. Anyway, in luggy we trust.
