I've no doubt that our recruitment is under way. Whether it will be quick enough for you is irrelevant I'm afraid.

It still doesn't alter the fact that our season isn't over if we're not top of the table in Sept. Quite the opposite - Gateshead an excellent example - top of the table after beating Barnet at beginning of Sept.

Need to 'judge' the team over the course of the season not month by month or match by match.

I’m seeing lots of panic about signings. No doubt we have been talking to various targets possibly for the past few months and probably this week. I note that Carlisle and Sutton have both signed a player but other than that I don’t recall seeing much going on. Does anyone have a list of signings so far for NL teams?

Re players in I would hope that our targets are players that would have been good enough for L2 and also good enough after last Sunday to get us out this league

Heard a rumour that ST are being announced this week, would be nice to see a couple of signings as well but if not then we must have faith in the recruitment team to get the right players in rather than 2nd 3rd choice. You would assume we must be an attractive option to players to come too
