Do we actually know for sure that JR has said we weren't in for Cashman ? Is it somewhere on social media ?

I would doubt that. He is and always has been very clear that he doesn't interfere with transfers, and trusts John Still and his team.

Maybe, but the Cashman affair is now history. Still plenty of fish in the sea though.

I think Austin is a better bet than Cashman. We wouldn’t have needed both.
Maybe we delayed on Cashman as there was unexpected progress on Austin.

These things are never clear cut, so please just move on from a target that we never got, I am sure there are many we don’t hear about as well.
