A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

If past seasons are taken into account there is often reasons why signings are delayed until the 1st of the month.....Before anyone takes this down and uses it in evidence against me as a fraudulent ITK type poster......I don't know, just a guess.
Yes I think so- if an out of contract player has not found a new club by end of June then I think the former club pay until the end of July.

So potentially delaying to the 1st could save one month’s wages I guess. But against that they are later to join up with the team for pre-season? So is it really worth it?

I think this was it anyway although I struggle to see the saving is really worth it- that said if the player is taking a meaningful pay cut then they may well want to delay until 1st Aug?

There was talk of us being interested in Sam at one time, Hayden Mullins used to work with him at Watford so knew all about him. In the end we signed another slightly older youngster from Watford Michael Folivi, he did very well for us last year in a difficult period for the club. He was due to sign a new contract for this season but sustained a nasty injury (Achilles tendon) during the Summer so at present his contract remains unsigned until he and the club know his fitness levels.

JMD is back on trial at Crawley. Not really a surprise as it’s so close to where he’s from. You won’t be missing out on much; doubt PB liked him one little bit once he got a close look.
Does PB like lazy players who don’t track back or head the ball in case it ruins their hair? He’s got a heart the size of a pea and the brain to match. A distinguished career at Eastbourne Borough awaits unless he pulls his finger out.

In other Creepy pre-season news of note, Josh Wright has been AWOL. Appears he may have jacked it in to start a lifestyle brand with his brother…
A bit surprised about Maguire-Drew still being a target @Jonny_Stokes comments are anywhere near accurate.

EDIT: Seems like near unanimous disappointment from Orient fans replying to his tweet about his departure though, so can probably take JS' comments with a pinch of salt:

Sam looked a good prospect back at the Os.

He could control the ball, hold it up and pass it around but needed bulking out - he was very young.

Hopefully good for Murphy and Rush.

Certainly worth a punt.
