Cant see it. Firstly by all accounts we dont have a pot to p*ss in. He would command a transfer fee and doubt Cobblers would let their top scorer from last season go on the cheap. I also cant believe Bothroyd would sell him if he is serious about getting Northampton promoted. He is surely their best striker goals to games ratio wise so cannot see it but would be happy to see him here.

Surely though with what has been mentioned on SZ in recent days in relation to a £10m debt, unpaid bills, non-playing staff allegedly unpaid, Sturrock allegedly two months unpaid and already owing a transfer fee to the Shots for straker are we really in a position to spend money a little more freely than usual on players who'll cost even nominal fees? Yes we would like to strengthen on the playing side but what I've listed should also be of the utmost priority. After all the non-playing staff need to earn to continue their living also. If this Akinfenwa story is true then I hope the Club have been sensible in their planning right across the board.

Boothroyd has told AA he is now back-up, which has annoyed AA. Boothroyd doesn't take too kindly to players with big personalities and had a public falling out with AA who has now expressed a desire to leave. Boothroyd will know NTFC won't get a huge amount for a player who wants out and is in the final year of his contract, it's public knowledge he wants him gone. Don't be surprised if AA leaves for a fairly nominal fee, although whether it's to us is highly doubtful due to our financial situation. S'pose it depends if a couple of our players depart tomorrow.

Of course not ... if he hinted we had to or indeed wanted to sell him someone would be in with a cheeky £10k offer, whereas if he makes out he's part of the squad then it may take £30-50k (not us then) to net him

Our clown has publicly stated that Mohsni isn't wanted or needed yet we still expect someone to pay top dollar for him

I'd be absolutely STAGGERED if we got anywhere near signing Buzsaky, would be an incredible signing. I know there is the whole Sturrock angle, but there is no way I can imagine he will drop down to league 2 from playing for QPR last year.

Last i heard, there were a couple of Champ teams interested (think one was Brizzle City).
