Toy Day - what did you bring in?

I remember taking a Electronic football game where the players went up and down in one line , and you could take throw ins and corners by placing the ball in the hole and it would shoot it out onto the pitch. it was In a mini stadium and i'm sure that it made football chant noises

Classic stuff , i'm sure i scored a volley one day although none of my pals believed me ( if you know what this game is then you'd know how legendary it would be to score on the 'buddy ' )

Yes thats the one...I think they twinned it with Allen Court eventually.

Certainly did , There are two schools down that road (Courtlands is now LA Fitness) Thorpe Hall moved from Thorpe Hall Avenue (where the old one was replaced by apartments) and Eton House, which merged with Alleyn Court in the early 90's . SUFC related fact, the merger meant that the Eton House head of PE was made redundant, so Anton Outowlowkowski was out of work....

My memory of the last day of term is one of shame , the majority of the boys brought in Action man or the alternative at the time, Tommy Gun. These were too expensive for my mum (I'm not paying that sort of money for a doll ..for a boy !!) so I had a cheap copy, it always ended up with its head being ripped off.

As for Canveyshrimper I believe he used to take a hoop and stick (as the ball and cup had not been invented yet. That said there were not so many last days for hime as he was working in t' Mill by the time he was 9
