"Tomorrow is finally here"

Just about everyone that wasn't in the Martin camp, from the Trust, Supporters, Local Govt and National officials, put time into saving our club and helping COSU to get past the flat line and into a future. let's not make this thread anything other than what it should be, a reminder of how close we were to nothingness.

Remember when 80% of this board constantly said 'but who'd buy the club' for years on end. Funny how things work out isn't it.

Personally I would have liked the protest group get a special mention as they were the one's who did the most in my opinion and got us in the mainstream media which in turn got Justin's attention. I met some of them outside Ron's house when there was 6 of us then whilst the happy clappers were tucked up in their Ron Martin and Stan Collymore pj's.

For some reason everyone seems to see the Trust as god.

I'm far from any tory's best friend, but come one, credit where it's due. Anna did as good as job as anyone else and to suggest she only did it for personal gain is a bit unfair.

That certainly wasn't what I was suggesting - my comment was more about the fact that any politician can be "on their way" come the next round of voting - no matter who they are or how much work they put in.

They didn't do the most in my opinion, they played a big part but COSU & SCC held firm and got the deal done.

Why does everything have to come down to Trust v protesters? Weren't we all on the same side? Can't it be acceptable that everyone contributed?

The trust are members of the FSA and liaised with them regularly during the takeover period. The FSA reached out to me, specifically at their AGM last summer the day after the takeover was announced. They did that because they knew who we were and what we had done.

The protest group, understandably shrouded in mystery and anonymity, were not asked for their story by the FSA and so their journey, everything they worked on and acheived, doesn't get amplified in the same way.

They were amazing, but there's a load of people that seem to be surprised that the people who specifically sought not to be named, aren't able to be patted on the back in public.

Protest group deserved a mention for sure, but that doesn't take away from anyone else.
