Todays win......

yeah Gray managed to hide behind their defender for that (i was in line from the family stand), to be fair there was an occasion when Freddie had a great chance but unselfishly passed to Gutts just after half time but the keeper made a great save

Cheer up boys.

I don't think we can describe the performance as sh!t. To be fair we had enough chances to win five games. Wayne Gray could have bagged four, Freddy hit the post, Cole, Gower and Gutts all missed good chances. Bournemouth had chances, but Darryl only had to make a couple of saves.

We looked tired today - our movement was very poor at times. Not surprising considering the schedule. I am guilty of not sseing a match since Forest, but reading reports we haven't created chances in games at all, something different today.

Mitchell Cole was suffering, but wasn't that bad for the first half. He worried defenders when he ran at them. Gray worked extremely hard and Gutts looked good going forward. The defence was stretched at times through pace, but that is a problem every game.

On the whole a good Christmas for the boys and the league table looks fantastic. If you'd told me we'd be 2nd in league one going ino the new year on the 31st of December 2004 - I'd of laughed. Lifes pretty good fellas.

Yup, can't complain about uor points haul over Christmas so far.

Bit of a jeckyl and hyde performance yesterday, we played well in patches but sat back too much and let Bournemouth play. The defending for their goal was absolutely shocking, although overall I thought Barrett had his best game for a while - Prior however continues to look a tad shaky. Overall I thought we deserved a win, they had a few shots second half but most were tame efforts easily dealt with by Flavs. If we hadn't been so wasteful in front of goal then we would have been further ahead by the time they scored. Gutts' goal was worthy of winning any football match!

So, we will end up in the playoff spots after the Christmas period, all this despite an 8 game winless run. If you'd have asked me at the beginning of the season, I would have said we'd be fighting relegation by now so I'm delighted with our progress so far this term. If, somehow, we can push on from this position it would be a fantastic achievement.

Shame, I thought the South Upper was a bit better than that, I thought you must have been in the West.
