Today's Ref

ldnfatso

Red Rep King!
What a c***! This bloke was clueless!!

I know that Mick had warned us that he was crap but you always live in hope that they may have a decent game for once. No chance, this guy was a complete joke and embarrasment. I'm not saying the guy was biased either way because he wasnt, but his decision making was utterly appalling!

Some of the decisions he should have given for them, would have been flamed down on here within seconds. Yes, we should have had some decisions our way, but equally, they should have had some their way. Although he was bad, I don't think he's the worst to have been in the hall for a while.

Some people just can't win. They always have to be slating of someone. We drew. We didn't lose. Lets stop finding people to blame, and lets start sorting out the errors for the next match.

The match is over, the ref has reffed the match and got a few decisions wrong. We can't change it now, can we!?

He werent card happy which means Bailey can play without fear of a ban...every cloud....

he werent great....and shocking trainers....

Absolutely, we escaped without incurring any additional cards so that has to be a good thing. The fact he was poor is rather secondary to that as far as I'm concerned, as we could have been without Bailey going into this crucial period.

Total sense my friend..my pet hate is officials being blamed as the cause for results not going our way. I think the decisions evened themselves out today, and yes we "could of" won but a draw is fine at this stage and the whilst automatic promotion was always going to be a big ask, the play-offs are pretty much assured.

where did ldnfatso blame the ref?? he said he wasn't biased and his general decision making was poor.

how can you blame the ref he can't help not seeing absolutely anything for the whole game, he only missed 2 penaltys one for them and one for us, poor old barnard had one of their players constantly holding him down and the amount of pushing was just slightly over the top, but remember you can't complain about someone who must have some problems with his sight, as we are only paying peanuts to watch a ref totally f*** up a game. the result might have not changed but at least we wouldn't spend half the game shouting at the ref who wasn't biased but just s***

Did anybody see his car in the ground? A brand new convertible Merc, and reg was something along the lines of ET08 REF. What a pillock.

Absolute bollocks. Go and read the law. What exactly are you screaming and whinging for? Are you one of those numpties who scream abuse at officials who has no idea what on earth they are talking about - which to be fair is most people who shout at refs at The Hall.

Or are you one of those who listens to the numpties and then posts it.

From the referees point of view, he was what you expect at this level. He let the game flow, wasn't over fussy, didn't favour either side, got both penalty decisions right and was spot on with the shoulder to shoulder with Francis. He also had some idea what a proper tackle looks like (something many of his colleagues fail to do).

If you want to find fault, at his level he should not be having the ball bounce of him, let alone twice.

You obviously didn't go to Roots Hall yesterday, perhaps you went to Gillingham to see Blues v Whites there!
Yesterdays ref was a complete loser.

Reason 1. Barney being dragged down WAS a pen, this was bordering on assault.:madman:
Reason 2. He was not prepared to do anything about Larkin's continuous diving (especially in the first half trying to entice a pen).:madman:
Reason 3. There were numerous tackles out there that should have resulted in free kicks and the ref just waved play on saying no foul! I'm all for letting the game flow if there is a foul and there is an advantage to play but he just dismissed them as not fouls. In which case if he is following the law, he should do something about simulation.:madman:
Reason 4. The East Stand Lino flagged for a Southen Free Kick in the second half, but the ref simply ignored him. These people are supposed to be Assistants, what's the use of them assisting if they are ignored? I understand that the ref is the ultimate boss but an assistant cannot flag a foul if he dosn't see it. Therefore he has seen something that the ref has not! Ignoring the lino shows a complete contempt to the lino's.:madman:
Reason 5. He wore Trainers.:D
