Says on the Chelmsford City website that the keeper they had today plays international football for Mali

He just wasn't a footballer. His body shape was completely wrong and built more like an American footballer. In the warm up Wayne Gray was showing him how to kick a ball.[b said:Quote[/b] (fbm @ July 17 2005,02:21)]Out of interest... just what did Kevin Gray do (or not do) that made hime so woeful?
Not quite.[b said:Quote[/b] (Technician @ July 17 2005,17:52)]unmarked Freddy Eastwood, for a simple tap in...
Does anyone else think this was a complete waste of time? Why have a non-footballer triallist play 70 minutes of a friendly? Surely there must be loads of strikers available or out of contract we could have had a look at, even if they aren't Tillys first choice?[b said:Quote[/b] (neil @ July 17 2005,10:32)]He just wasn't a footballer. Whenever the ball went anywhere near him, even rolled into his feet, he lost it so it was effectively like playing with 10 men. There were some amusing moment to begin with because he clearly wasn't a footballer, but when he tracked someone 30 yards and then hacked him down without getting anywhere near the ball I was slightly concerned that he might seriously hurt someone.
My thoughts exactly. By all accounts there are a number of fans who would have performed better than this bloke![b said:Quote[/b] (fbm @ July 18 2005,08:01)]Does anyone else think this was a complete waste of time? Tilly wasn't having a look at this guy, this guy was doing us a favour.[b said:Quote[/b] (fbm @ July 18 2005,08:01)]Does anyone else think this was a complete waste of time? That's an interesting point. Tilly has said in the Echo that he was pleased to have got through with no injuries.[b said:Quote[/b] (Hong Kong Blue @ July 18 2005,10:18)]Tilly wasn't having a look at this guy, this guy was doing us a favour.[b said:Quote[/b] (fbm @ July 18 2005,08:01)]Does anyone else think this was a complete waste of time? At this stage of the season you only want your players playing 45 minutes, particularly in this heat.
If Dwayne Gray hadn't had played, Wayne or Freddy would have had to play 90 minutes.
Nope.[b said:Quote[/b] (stickyboy @ July 18 2005,11:21)]surely could have played that Benson guy who scored in a few reserves game last season
