today's performance

J

The Chameleon
firstly, we cannot overlook that we have three points and another three goals to the tally, but...today's performance was very much below par i feel. R&D are a two bob second rate side. I feel that today, being a home fixture, we should have ran them all around the pitch today. Sadly this was not the case and we gave them to much time to make attacks. Bart made yet another super performance, but i still think he's confidence is lacking somw what...all round. a good day, but still a lot to work on

**** off. bart was superb and did not show at all a lack of confidence. we had them all over the park, there was a bit of wind which made conditions harder and we hit the woodwork twice, had efforts saved off the line etc. we annialated them

We may well have "annialated" them (whatever that means) but we most certainly didn't annihilate them. This was a good opportunity to improve our goal difference and we only partially took it.

3-0 isnt a bad score, considering rushden have been scoring a few recentley.

True, I just felt we could have had more today. Just shows how my expectations have been raised since this time last year.

Oh for F**ks sake, I was there on Tuesday and it was S**t. Tilson has been bold and imaginative in his selection and given Freddy and the whole team a kick up the arse. We win 3-0 and all I can see on this thread is what a poor performance it was!!

I wish we could play that badly every game!!

Couldn't agree with you more.

OK, it wasn't the best game ever but I don't think I ever spent five minutes during the match where I thought we would throw the win away.

We won - that's all we need to worry about

We also rested players and gave other's opportunities before Monday's game and has given Tilly an interesting dilemma ...

poor performance, who gives a toss ! we won 3-0 if we played that poor every time and won, deal me in ! ill have some of that every time. now i suggest you get back to your Premier$hite highlights and try to perfect your alan hanson impersonation

We won 3-0 but the performance was below par? So by that rationale if we played to our potential we would have won 10-0?

Get a grip, we've played three games this week, won two and lost one. I would have taken that beforehand. We arent going to play flowing football every week all that counts is results!

THE BLUES ARE GOING UP!!!

that is why we are going to struggle to find ourselves in an automatic promotion place.

Bloody hell, we won 3-0 at a complete canter, yet people are moaning!?

At times we were brilliant, and the only reason it might have possibly not looked like that good a performance was due to the fact we completely took our foot off the pedal in the 2nd half.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll see what happens, just try to remember the state of things a year ago and get some perspective on the whole situation. We have good solid foundations now something we havent had for a very long time.

im a sc**thorpe fan for a mo ! how on earth can we go up when as soon as we lose torpey we get beat by a mid table team. no chance of going up if we have to rely on him.
now im a swansea fan, poxy performance today to get beat again at home by one of our closest rivals.goodfellow ends his loan spell and we struggle. unless we get someone in to replace him we will really struggle to make promotion.

its easy to criticise, believe it or not some people even make a living out of it ! i prefer to look at the positives myself

Exactly!

We have a realistic chance of promotion or the play-offs. After finishing in the bottom half every year since we were relegated you would think maybe people might 'enjoy' being where we are!

Why ? Tes was causing nothing but trouble for the opposition for the entire match. Tes is matchfit and Dudfield isn't, makes perfect sense to me.

Bart was outstanding today, not just for his saves but his all round domination of the six-yard and 18-yard boxes.

Cheese, potm for December. Who votes this FFS ? (though he played nicely in partnership with Nicky today)

Agree with all 3 points. The legend that is Tes did indeed play very well today. Anybody still going to criticise his workrate!? He worked his socks off today, but I'm sure a few people will still turn a blind eye.
