Thought Benyon had a solid 70 mins against daggers & showed some potential.

I got a good feeling about tomorrow or maybe Im just being optimistic as we've had a good week with signings..

I agree, I thought he brought others in to play well and I saw glimpses that our game was changing mostly through Benyon from what I can remember...

Is Martin going to go left-back? I'm a little confused about him. Can't wait to see Prosser out though. His scared of his own shadow.

He is a winger.

I read on one of these boards that he can play left-back which won't be nice.

Might get a nice partnership going forward between Martin and Hall, if they can learn to cover each other. Like we have with Clohessy and Leonard, although it's a shame Leonard doesn't seem fit enough for 90minutes.

Both our current left-backs are out of contract this summer, of course Barker back move over and Mohsni can play center-back.

I love versatility!

I thought the current partnership was Hall and Clohessy? Leonard plays on the left usually.
As much as I have never liked Gilbert, until the Bradford game he had begun to win me over, so with a couple of games on the sidelines hopefully he'll be willing to prove himself, from what I've read sticking Martin at the back would be a waste

No he doesn't. Leonard usually plays right mid in front of Clohessy so he can drop back into defence if Clohessy gets caught out up top. Hall usually plays on the left, although if Leonard isn't playing he does swap wings more often.

Leonard spent quite a bit of the Daggers game on the left. The suggestion from Luggy's recent interviews is that he'll play Martin on the left and Hall on the right.

You play to make best use of your resources- PS understands that and as a result 18 months after arriving with no players we are where we are. We now have brought in some real quality. Spoke to my mate a Derby season ticket holder- he cannot believe Martin has dropped to L2 (re is adament Derby should have kept him- very quick and reckons when he's on form his final ball is up there with anyone- lets hope he is right).

In fact with Benyon and Harris up front and with Hall and martin down the flanks I think the PS style will work even better. It looks laike hoof ball when there is not enough movement up front and we are static. These 4 will work the channels to find space providing more uptions. I dont think the idea is the long ball played to head- it an accurate ball into the channels to run on to a bring people into play from there. We have not quite had the right personnel- until now.

Also sides have worked out our threat is down the right with Hall and Clohessy- makes defending easy. If the do that now and leave Dave Martin in space 1 on 1 by all accounts they will regret it.

It's effectively two new wages, as we were paying Timlin's wages whilst on loan.

So that's Johnson and Daniels off the wage bill and Martin and Benyon on.

There's also the possibility that our cap has increased if gates have gone up since we emerged as title contenders. There's apparently some sort of mid-season adjustment. I also recall something in the dim and distant past about players under 21(?) not counting against the cap - ie off-loading Ferdinand, Crawford, Asante etc may not actually create any more room.

I thought the cap was based on last season's turnover?
