Good squad player who I think has scored a couple in the last 3 reserve games. Sad to see that when he is warming up some people still boo him and you can tell he lookes well P***** off.

To be honest I would have put him on saturday and taken off Harris who I thought had a disappointing game. However if Corr ever returns he wont even make the bench.

I think a months loan would be a good idea.

Corr is the bigger worry will he ever play again ? ,Crawford should go but I would keep Blair gives us a lot more options on the field of play

Any club hoping for promotion from this division will certainly need far more effective forwards than Blair Sturrock in their team. He is only here because of his Dad, let him go!!!

If Brady announced it is Thursday today i'd feel the need to go and check

Fair point. Well made.
Brady and Martin must be delighted we're top of the league, as it's taken all the focus away from them, and Martin can get on with the business of selling our ground from underneath us.

The problem for Crawford and Sturrock junior is that the standard has gone up.Harry has no default position whereas Blair has daddy. Favouritism has peeved many a player this past year and i'll be amazed if it didn't carry on.

Absolute rubbish, how many of you truly think that your dad would favour you in the workplace, I genuinely think that the opposite may occur just to remove any hint of there being favouritism, and I don't think Blair has ever played when clearly there was a better option. Blair seems a well liked and well respected member of the squad, and I think it makes sense for Sturrock to have his son playing under him, because he knows exactly what Blair offers. I'm sure he also provides a bit of a link between squad and management, which is useful seeing as we don't have an assistant manager or proper first team coach (just Coughlan).

Blair should stay at least until the end of the season.

He is a very good squad player and the only proven pairing for Barry Corr (they worked well together). This may change of course in time and others in the squad may make a good pairing with Corr but we don't know this yet for certain. Also we might lose a few players long term through injury or during the transfer window. Paul Sturrock does not seem to like getting in short-term loanees because he likes players to know and understand his 'system' so he would prefer to have a player less skilled who can work with his system than a more skillful player who can not. (One reason why JJ has not made it yet). Whenever Blair has played for our team he has always put in a shift and I'm sure that the stats will show that last season particularly away from home we did better with him in the team that not in the team. He did struggle when Corr was absent but then the whole team struggled. Also we have not had the opportunity to see how Blair can work with Dickinson for example (better than Harris?). And by all accounts he's played well in the reserves. The only reason I'd send him out on loan for a month would be to keep his match fitness/sharpness up (as he missed pre-season and has not played for the 1st team this year). I do wish people would get off Blair's back (both Jnr and Snr). I've not seen any evidence of favouritism.

favouritism has peeved many a player? Have you got any proof of that? Blair rarely plays a game, Mohsni comes on as a striker before him, where is this favouritism? I don't think Blair is on much money, so if our wage budget is already stretched I'd be happy to keep him as 4th or 5th choice striker, he has actually taken some decent shots this season in the few games he has played, not many but probably more than the whole of last season, I think Harris has probably helped him, and I think he's probably helped mohsni learn how to play as a striker too

Blair and Paul don't have as good of a relationship as you seem to think...

:net: surely Paul Sturrock is far too experienced a manager for such nonsense

Blair to stay for me,certainly until the end of the season. It's Crawford who needs to go,out on loan for the rest of the season, to a Conference side with them paying the lions share of his wages if poss. If he does'nt grasp the opportunity and fails at that level then we need lose him for good. No good for him or us just playing for our reserves at this stage of his career.

Problem being Nobody wants Crawford-simple as that. Sturrock snr would snap anyones hand off to get rid. As would I to be perfectly honest he's not grabbed the few oppoutunities he's had. Same for Asante really.

Why do we have them when there isn't even a recognised reserve league that's what I want to know. Sturrock would rather play a CB than either of them, so why they here???

Asante hasnt hasnt had an opportunity this season mainly because the subs have changed from 7-5. Asante was given a contract in pre season by Sturrock because he has the pottential to progress therefor being sent out on loan so its hardly fair to suggest that Sturrock wants rid. Crawford is still young only 20? and has never been given a proper run in the side. I think when he has played he has looked better coming off the bench and changing the game a bit when the game is stretched but hasnt impressed when starting, some players are like that, a good sub but not a starter. If we could get him out on loan to conference for 3 months where he would start week in week out and see how he develops as I think there is a good lower league level player in him but sadly we cant at the moment.

What everyones missing is that to bring in another striker we wouldnt neccassarily need to get rid of Sturrock, Crawford etc because we still have Matt Paterson on our books, he may be out on loan at the moment but we probably are paying a part of his wages and he will be back in January. To afford another striker now maybe only Sturrock (who i think we need anyway) needs to go but come January and Paterson is back if Boli's or whoevers wages are more than Sturrocks then past January we wont be able to afford unless Paterson goes again

Not just any CB.
