IIRC Tilly was after Hayter before he moved to Doncaster, and he is a southern lad.

As has been said it was Heffernan last season. Hayter was the player that lunged in on Sodje down at Dean Court and broke his leg which I believe made us a bit more unstable at the back for the crucial last few games of the title winning season.

I presume although we cannot now make a "loan for the rest of the season" we are able to negotiate a straight through 3 month/93 day "emergency" loan and not have to sign whoever it is for a month & then keep extending it.

I did wonder if they were initially holding off to get within 93 days of the playoff final (just in case, you never know) but that deadline is now long past!
