Tilly Last night

We all know that Tilly aint one to scream and shout, but the shouting he did do last night was around the 83rd minute.

He came to the touchline and shouted to Barrett, 'dont get sloppy'.

That was it!!

And the rest is history.

Until the boys take this on board (Mr Clark) we will concede more than we score, the writing defensively has been on the wall for some time, and when we conceded 2 at Wakering i knew it was still there.

Another 2 goals from midfielders, a bit concerning!

Replace Foran for Harrold on last nights showing, Matty did some good link up play but then he dont get in the box to finish it off.

Unanimous.

Foran up front not out on the wing.........try it Tilly and see what happens
 
Not sure to be honest.

Foran looks ok on the wing whee he gets the ball and can run with it. Certainly took his goal well.

Can he do it when he is leading the line yet ? Im undecided.

However he has scored which is more than the others so cant see why we dont try it.

As to Harrold, he was getting in some decent positions last night, he had one ruled out for offside, had a clear header that if Eric had left would have been an easy knock in, and he also could have scored in the 3nd half from a Black cross.
 
I no Tilly has done a gr8 job 4 us.... but like many others feel its time 4 a change.....

Replacements:

Martin Allen... he is a free agent snap him up... good young manager!!

Darren Ferguson... again young manager with alot to promise... i mean look at his father.... he can learn things!

He is a striker but he just doesn't look like a footballer. He has legs made of twiglets. So I will now on refer to him as Bambie as he just looks like he is going to fall over.

I think for a start you should cut out the text language, it's not like there's limited space to type anything! ;)

We don't need to be changing our manager anytime soon either.
 
Martin Allen - remind me, how many promotions has he achieved in his career?

Ferguson - why would he leave moneybags Posh, exactly...?

Well, this has been done ad nauseam on a lot of other threads, and most of us respectfully disagree with you...

ok ok but how much longer are you going to accept keep throwing away the lead or losing concentration in the last 5-10mins.... i for one am getting tired of seeing us play for 85 mins.... the game lasts 90mins..

somethink needs to be sorted out

Surely, though, sacking the manager is a slightly drastic solution to this problem?
 
Its the teams awareness to defend that needs to be installed, Tilly said on bbc essex last night.

'THERE WAS NOTHING ABOUT THE GOALS WE CAN WORK ON, ON THE TRAINING GROUND, IT IS A MENTAL THING FOR THE PLAYERS'

I dont agree entirely.

Sacking him is a bit harsh, but how long will Ron allow it to go on for, this was happening way back in last season, if we are still in bottom half at christmas then something has to change.

3-2 home v Coventry, 3-2 home v Hull plus many more, now its happening against lower opposition

League 2 will beckon again if its not sorted quickly

Defo a mental thing for us , i metioned in a thread a few weeks back that we seem to crumble when we go behind and the fact is we have shipped in more than 3 goals in a game far too often in the past 2 years.

I believe that we should give clarke a rest and see how we get on , surely we can't do any worse ????

I do agree with him, its a pschological thing more than anything. The fact we seem to bottle it at the end of games shows a lack of confidence or nerves.

After all if it was just poor defending we would concede the goals earlier.

We have players good enough we just need to get into a winning mentality again.
