If some of this is true, Spurs are really beginning to annoy me. They got the game played on the day they wanted and now they want their cake and eat it about the tickets as well.

I'm not someone given over to hysteria about how many fanatical Shrimpers there are on this planet, having confidently predicted that we wouldn't sell out for either Crystal Palace and Leeds and that tickets would be available on the door - and been proved correct (both of these games people were saying we should paid up front for a bigger allocation for on SZ).
However, a Tottenham fan asked me how many we would bring the day after the draw and I told him ``8,000 - if you let us''.
Yes, it's the week before Christmas but here are the reasons.
a) anyone who missed the Man Utd game won't want to miss Tottenham as well
b) It's the Quarter-Final of a major cup competition as far as we are concerned.
c) It's a local game and many families will have crossed loyalties. I know of 6 people who want to go in my family who haven't been to a football match in years just because it's Tottenham and my grandad and uncle support them and I support Southend. I would imagine there are plenty of similar situations on here.
It might not be 8,000 Southend-mad supporters in the away end, but we'd sell 8,000 tickets
