Those blokes in South upper should be either warned to tone it down or banned,Their choice!

Wherever I have sat the number of big gobs are fairly small IMO and frankly if they were banned the match day experience for the majority will improve vastly ,I have been in the North once and it was embarrassing watching Southend fans behaving like wild animals goading the visiting fans or abusing their own team.Sorry I don't understand this behaviour.

But this is what I'm trying to say: the whole ground is abusing our own team? Have you not seen the way after every goal this year (except the last few last night) TBV has started a song trying to motivate the team whilst the rest of the West Stand are still hurling abuse at the players (for which, according to you, they should all be permanently banned)?

As I said in a previous post some people only see the bad in others

Indeed. Perhaps you were a bit OTT with the abuse, but I don't like the fact that everyone on here is waiting for any opportunity to moan about you/TBV/'kids' in Block W/people that actually try to support the team.

Let's get a few more stewards, and next time we concede a goal at Roots Hall, lets ban all supporters that abuse the players. I suspect we'll only need to open the East Stand for the following match...

Supporters support!,when things are going bad or a player is having a really sh*t time of it,I find a kind word and a laugh can sometimes help.Im afraid SUFC being SUFC and the state they are in with embargoes etc are not always going to play at their best and supporters have to accept this .Please fellas in the bad times is when the club and most of all THE PLAYERS! need your support , need some constructive criticism not abuse, a good word or two to settle them down. Only through this will Roots Hall once again become a fortress where opposing teams will not like to play.

Do you reckon PB had a kind word and a laugh with them, after shipping 4 goals in 8 mins, while they were locked in the dressing room for 1/2 hr after the match ?

When times are bad , is the time to sing even louder !
The support for the team last night was pretty good until Daggers 4th goal went in. Not many supporters in the country would be able to raise much of a cheer when their team is getting ripped to shreds by a team in the same division.

Its part of the managers job to rip into them should they deserve it,me i ve always believed a supporter supports, surely when you yourself are having a bad time with work or family or just a bad run of luck,an arm around your shoulder and a few good words in your ear,a wife who tells you she loves you all the same , your children who also give you ahug and tell you its ok dad ,things will change, dont something like that make you fel like trying even harder , dosent it put a smile on your face and make you feel better, i know it does me and ive been through some really bad times these past few years.

I totally take your point. Yep, the players need encouragement, especially when they are down, but supporters that care will always get frustrated when their team lets 4 soft goals in. It's natural. It's football. Trust me, at 2-2, 2-3 down the crowd were still 100% behind them.

Yep support from the stands was pretty good last night up until the 4th goal.
I think some people that were not at the game last night have got the impression that there was little or no support for the team.

Doesn't mean its acceptable to abuse players. Show your unhappiness at the team but abusing individual players is not on.

I do agree. Personal abuse should not be tolerated, but it's got to go right across the board. There are several people in the stands that seem to think it is acceptable.

So its ok to tell the whole team they are crap but not individual players. What about the players that played well, wont they be a bit miffed?

So your suggesting individual players who are performing bad should be singled out and abused?

Nope, you stated that it is ok for fans to 'Show your unhappiness at the team'. I'm asking how that can be done?
Are you suggesting the whole team should be abused?
