We must carry on using 'Ring of fire' chant, its a song to us like 'Blue Moon' to Man City fans. Its seem to get Southend players going, look at our improved away performace expect Sunderland.

I don't like it as a football chant at all. Doesn't help that someone pretty loud in the East Yellows doesn't have the rhythm!

It's not really though is it? Haven't Manchester City fans been singing Blue Moon for years? We've been singing Ring Of Fire for a few weeks- and several weeks after every other club the country started singing it.

Totally agree Dave. Load of old poo. What's wrong with singing chants that are actually related to the club/team?

'Ring of fire' has become our 'great escape' anthem - we should stick with it as I agree that it gives the players a lift-- the 2nd half performance at sheffield merited points , birmingham and barnsley generated victories .

Its also quite easy to sing and the beauty is that if you're not up to singing the whole thing or if your throat is so sore that you have to 'drop out ' for a bit , you can just do half of it or come back in when you are ready.

SO TOMORROW LETS MAKE SURE ITS LOUDER THAN EVER !!!!!!!!!!!

ring of fire, is quality, a bit overused at the moment but we all love to sing it. shame we can't get it going proply at home games!
