Question Things to do in north wales.

Have relatives in Caernavon and spent many an hour up there in my youth.

Hence I'd turn around and get out as soon as possible.

In all seriousness:

Snowdonia. The climb to the top is easy peasy or you can be lazy and get the cable car.
LLanberis Lake. Stunning.
Blaneau Ffestiniog.
Caernavon castle - though I remember the rest of the town being a total dump and very anti-English.
Drive across the Menai Straits to Anglesey.
Llandudno - loved it as a kid.
Port Merion - Where they filmed The Prisoner.
Conwy Castle - The Welsh love a castle.

Please note: It's CAERNARFON not CAERNARVON

Avoid Betws-y-Coed like the plague. Full of bl**dy tourists.

Welsh Highland Railway. I recommend getting off at Waunfawr for the pub next to the station and then again at Beddgelert and trying the multi-award winning Glaslyn Ices/Glandwr Cafe (cracking pizza as well).

Frolic with some sheep. Not many people outside of Wales can say they have done that. One of the "100 things to do before you die" oppurtunities I'd say.

North wales is great and spent many breaks there.

llandudno is cool as is conwy castle.

You will have a great time.

Worth a mention that chester is an awsome day out . Great town with great shops and places to eat and only a short drive down the a55.

Also, much fun to be had by trying to find holiday homes owned by the English and burning them to the ground.

If you have to spend 7 days in Mold then fit a hose to your car exhaust and end it all. That place is the pits.

Visit Portmerion. I got married there. Avoid Porthmadog unless you fancy a fight. They do have some good chip shops though and are one of the few regions that do potato scallops which are large slices of potato dipped on batter and then fried.

Go into a local village pub, get a pint (or 6) of whatever local non-corporate brew they sell and moan to anybody who's prepared to listed about Ron Martin ;)
