Things that have impressed you today

Had some dental work done this morning and from the injections to the drilling it was absolutely pain free. Good work dentist

An electrician friend of mine who does work for Morrissey keeps having to go back round to the singer's house because he has a fluorescent tube which is perpetually on.

Mcdonalds bacon Swiss ****. Not normally a fan of their promotion burgers but thought I would give this one a try and was pleasantly surprised.

The mushroom double swiss at BK was an epic burger. I wish they would bring it back.

Also impressed by another mate who drives a black cab in London because he picked up Elvis Costello at Victoria Station yesterday evening. Elvis asked my mate to take him to Fulham, but not to go the direct route.

Good to see this on the Beeb - one or my pet hates, those who insist that they have to drink 8 glasses of water a day to be hydrated. IT IS GUFF!

If you drink too much you pee it out. If you drink too little you get thirsty and pee less. It's all exquisitely well-controlled in the same way that your intake of oxygen is well-controlled.

Saying that you should drink more water than your body asks for is like saying that you should consciously breathe more often than you feel like because if a little oxygen is good for you then more must be better.

The Lego shop in Westfield. I never knew you could do a pick 'n' mix of Lego; either normal blocks or build your own characters! Lego is great.

Yeah I never really understood this. Beer by my reckoning must be about 95% water buy no one tells you to drink 8 glasses of beer a day.

Sure is! I look forward to the day I get to build the Millenium Falcon....:winking:

This is the third year in a row I've tried to convince my wife it would make an ideal present for the kids. And the third year in a row she has said no. I won't stop trying though.

I have bought this though

Like it!

I have to introduce Baby MK to the delights of Star Wars as of yet....if only there was a cocky pink pig or sarcastic fairy (and no that's not C3PO).

This bloke : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ilot-collapsed-Hero-I-just-held-joystick.html I think we have flyer on SZ who can probably explain how good an achievement this was.

Without getting too technical, what he did was actually nothing special.

Fooled you! What he did was really quite unbelievable. Although it seems the flying instructor that talked him down also did an amazing job because he kept a clear head to the point where he simplified the whole landing process as much as possible.

I'd have done a few stunts and busted the tower as well.

The only difference between airline pilots and bus drivers is that airline pilots don't have tattoos on their hands.

Yeah, but they also get to do this:
