Things kids will never believe

My kids are into their music- Drake and Jeezy mainly. But i got the eldest into the Dave Brubeck quartet which is nice.

Saw DB here in concert here a few years back.Apparently,his daughter was in the audience.Great show..Of course he played Take Five.Certainly one of the the most significant figures in Jazz,IMO.

Where do you start
No one had more than 1 telly ( maybe a b/w portable as a second).
School Summer holidays lasted forever.
Kids spoke in sentences and adults could understand.
being famous meant you had achieved something - people weren't famous for being famous
£1 a Pint
Catholic priests, care home staff and jimmy saville were good people.
Drinking and driving were socially acceptable.
Having a car that always started was an out of reach dream.
taking something back to a shop because you had changed your mind was impossible unless you bought it in M&S.
Racism didn't exist ( people just thought it was normal and right)
 
Talking of television, waking up at 2am after a drinking session and staring at the white dot in the middle of the TV screen for an hour before realizing where you were.
