I hated Barry Fry for leaving us for Birmingham City, and never really forgave him. He was an absolutely brilliant Manager for us, and who knows where he would have taken us. That's why it hurt so much. He saved us from relegation and took us to the top of the old Division 2 table. Mind you, Vic Jobson was half to blame for not giving Barry an improved contract that he asked for and definitely earnt. Barry has said many times that's all Vic had to do. Barry also had assistants Edwin Stein and David Howell in his earhole, as they wanted to go to the much bigger club, Birmingham.

What great support we had yesterday, proud to be a Shrimper!

I had to leave a few minutes early, as my son was devastated and found it difficult to process, with us going from complete joy to despair. He calmed down by the time we got on the train home and asked to go to Wembley again today lol.

Up the Shimpers!
