The "Tilly to..." Thread

Think about it, Matt. There is a third way. A "new type" of football supporting?

How about a coalition for a guaranteed fixed five year term to give us enough stability until we've got Fossetts built and we're raking in loads of profits from the new stadium - by the end of that period, all of our problems would have been sorted. I'm sure Ron and the Col U chairman could settle their differences despite any previous feelings they may have harboured and carry along their supporters with them - all in the name of the County Interest.

We have the manager; they have the players.

They wouldn't need to loan any players to us any more - we could just have them play for us. We could both enjoy Vernon's talents.

They have the finances in place; we can supply them with the debt so they can really feel at home in football circles.

We have the fans; they have the empty seats to put the fans in.

BBC Essex won't have to choose between who to give priority to.

The Echo (remember we are told that they apparently support Col U) would then support SUFC and all our problems with the local press would be sorted.

We wouldn't have to offer any players ridiculous salaries to stop them from moving to Col U - because they'd already be there!

Best of all - we can choose our stadium depending on who we're playing. When our opponent is a football playing team, we play at their "pitch". When our opponent doesn't like to play football, we play at Roots Hall.

So Tilly to Col Ewe...and we still keep him. Come on - the Conservatives and LibDems had to swallow a big pill for their coalition.

How about it?

How about the easy fix. They get relegation Ron and we get their chairman!

I have it on good authority Tilly is being lined up as the next manager of SZFC to replace TheFlyingScotsman who is being lined up to take over from Rafa Benitez at Liverpool. T'is very true i'm telling you
