So, just for fun and with no agenda or even knowledge how this is going to pan out, here is the story of the thread in the thousands (posts wise).

I've taken and quoted post 1, 1001, 2001 etc just to see what sort of mess it creates and if anything legible comes from it. Who knows? Let's find out...

A producer I know at Meridian TV has just asked me what is happening with SUFC at 3pm today. He's heard that Ron has "invited media." Anyone heard anything similar?

I don't really care about their sexual orientation.

Would be surprised if TL would divulge anything, its as easy to say one from London and one local interested as it is that Nash may be interested. Fact is that these are simply rumours and that’s it. No way TL would or able to tell supporters anything due to NDA. As much as the Nash interest is a rumour, in Lincoln Shrimp we have someone who has strong links to someone in that camp Or close to it. He has been sharing info the past few weeks regarding this and knowing him personally I have no reason to doubt what he is posting. Time will tell

Ok it was 2019 but if you include class 1 NIC and pension costs the clubs weekly wage was £120k a WEEK ok that was before relegation to the NL

It is said that the average players age in the NL is between £1-£1.5k a week. A squad of say 20 is going to be al least £20k plus another £2500 for NIC. If you the say 5 support staff including the manager ( there’s going to be more than that ) earning on average £800 a week + £100 NIC you are up to at circa £27k a week or £117k a month as a minimum.

But that sort of number doesn’t include the groundsmen, office staff CEO, bar staff etc then things like the managers car ,mobile phone-so as a minimum I would think you are talking of way over £2 million a year.

I don’t know if many picked up but the rateable value of Roots Hall have gone up from £49500 to £106,000 with the multiplier of £0.51 ( there doesn’t appear to be any transitional relief ) that means buisness rates have potentially gone up from just under £500 per week to over £1k a week.

The problem is that £400k should be treated as deferred income and drip fed into cash flow as the season progresses but almost certainly every £ has been used to fire fight. Some creditors just can’t be ignored because well quite simply they won’t supply goods or services. From the coach company to attending doctors to kit suppliers to beer and catering supplies .

Wake me up when Scorsese becomes part of the group and announces a feature long film on the Blues, with Ron being portrayed by Bill Murray

We not Colchester Utd you know.

Well whoever was supposedly propping the club up for the last 8 months wasn't doing it very well as the club was/is on its knees

For those not concerned about a local property magnate purchasing our beloved club can I just present some evidence as to why local property magnates shouldn't own football clubs... *gestures at the last 25 years*

I'm not particularly enthusiastic about city boys taking over the club either but since [political viewpoint redacted] isn't an option in Britain, I guess we will continue to allow rich people to do as they wish with cultural community assets across the country.

Think we’ll be seeing record low average attendances if Ron somehow clings on

We don’t know anything, but the signs aren’t good. We all live in hope, but it’s thin on the ground at the moment.

The nuance of “contracted players” should be taken in to account.

In the National League, contracts expire on 30th April and are only 10 month contracts

That wouldn’t be beneficial for anyone including him so why would he do that. If he’s delusional enough to think he will get another adjournment and that wouldn’t result in the club falling apart then he’s truly lost his mind

Yeah for about the last 6 hours now. Will be doing it late in to tonight and from early on tomorrow too

Just got in. That statement is dreadful.

No party will ever buy the club without the potential to own the new ground and training facilities.

It was nice to dream of something better anyway even if it was short lived. Back to reality.

15001...woooooo

I would happily get stuck in to get the Hall ready if we finally get new owners. No specialist knowledge from me (e.g. electricals or plumbing) but could do a bit of painting/cleaning.

Not particularly scintillating and a bit of a disappointment after a promising start... but hey. I was hoping for a bit of light relief aside from the usual panic/doom/euphoria/abusive pattern of posts.

Clearly failed. Sorry guys. I suppose I could have avoided posting it but it took a few minutes to put together and there may just be some sad nerdy types like me that may be thinking about doing something similar. And if anyone is curious enough, I only did it this way (and not 1000, 2000, 3000 etc.) so I could start at the beginning as there isn't a post zero.
