June 15th Council leader Daniel Cowan announceshasn’t passed DD and proposes revised plan sticking closer to 2021 agreement. Warns this is the only deal on the table and that Council will walk if COSU walk

June 20th club files accounts and appeals conditions in NL Review Letter

June 21st Daniel Cowan issues update

June 21st NL warn JR proposing to request a Bond.

June 24th National League issue ill-timed statementcalling into question SUFC’s future just 48 hours prior to latest Winding Up petition being due to be heard. They demand a £1m bond which Ron can’t afford & the Consortium wouldn’t want to be on risk for.

June 25th Consortium statement expressing frustration with NL


June 25th Stewarts LLP issue statement saying have come to a settlement regarding their outstanding fees before the next day’s Winding Up Petition is due to heard. News is awaited regarding PG Site Services who had joined the petition and any other parties who have joined since the NL’s intervention.

June 26th Winding Up Petition dismissed with costs.

July 2nd club sends email purporting to comply with NL’s second condition re ongoing viability

July 4th appeal against conditions in Review Letter heard. Appeal finds that concerns should have been raised May 5th and club granted Conditional Licence rather than subsequently impose conditions and argue there had been a material change.

July 5th transfer embargo lifted

July 8th club statement announcing transfer embargo lifted followed soon after by double signing announced of Joe Gubbins and, for an undisclosed fee, Josh Walker

July 10th fixtures announced - NL seemingly having dropped the requirement for a £1m bond

July 19th 2024 - 490 days after the club was put up for sale the club announce that COSU have successfully completed the purchase of SUFC.
