The rumours could be true...

Have heard from a (normally) reliable source that we have actually signed Les Ferdinand.

Scriv - can you confirm?

Would be a good signing. Would contribute to the goal tally, would win a lot in the air, and offer us valuable experience.

I would love it too - I think he is still quality. Naturally fit, very experienced and I think he loves the game enough not to just come along for the ride.

He would certainly do a job at this level and an Eastwood/Ferdinand partnership is a bit tasty isnt it?!

If it is true how do you view his arrival??

Me, I am not totally in favour of signing older players, we've had them here down the years. Whymark & Lampard to name two. In general I would have preferred Goater, but if Ferdinand can stay reasonably fit he would be a good signing. Also if Eastwood & Gray can learn from him - remember he was a late starter from Hayes to QPR, then in general i say lets go for it.

Certainly be a interesting signing, not sure if he is the guy we need but would be a good addition if we could get him within our wage structure.

Probably be a short term option. He'd get a year contract, two years maximum with possibly the option to go into coaching with us ala Prior.
