The Rock on Soccer AM

The old WWE is definitely a much duller place at the moment, there's none of the characters of a few years back. Undertaker might be pretty invincible but he's not as entertaining, and much as I love watching Matt and Jeff, unless they're together they're not all that, Batista and Triple H are ok and I like HBK but compared to these - Austin, Goldberg, Kurt Angle, the Dudleys, Eddie Guerrero, Rock, Hogan etc - all wrestlers with big characters, they're not really in the same league.

Absolutely, Great from top to toe (and all the bits in between - mmmm!)! Had hoped with the induction of his relatives at Wrestlemania he might be putting in a guest appearance in the ring like he did a few years back with Mick Foley (the Rock and Sock combo!), but doesn't sound like it from what he's said in those two interviews.

He'll be at Wrestlemania. No doubt about it. He'll probably do an unadvertised run-in to save someone like Hornswaggle like Hogan did to save Eugene a couple of years back.

I agree with what your saying about the characters like Rock Stone Cold Goldberg and the like not being around, Rock in his prime was fantastic, his series with Foley as the Rock and Sock Connection were fun to watch but his 'maina clashes with Stone Cold were awesome. Was lucky to see both in their prime at the London Arena a couple of times.

Also seen the late great Eddie several times, got genuinely excited when he beat Brock Lesner for the gold and will admit to crying watching the Raw and Smackdown tribute shows following his death.

Still enjoy HHH and HBK along with the likes of Jeff Hardy, Cena, Edge.

Just in case you didn't know TNA have a date at the Brentwood Centre June 15th, tickets go on sale Monday 10th March, the likes of Kurt Angle Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe should be appearing. I'm gonna go along as should be a good show and as smallish arena should get a good view.

Hubby did manage to take our son to see wrestling a few times up town over the years, and I think they managed to see quite a few of the big names of recent years, alas he never saw Rocky wrestle. He did see Eddie and Lesnar the first time he went though.

I whole heartedly agree but there are a few unsung hero's in the WWE that won't ever be forgotten, IMO: HHH, Brock Lesnar, Eugene ;) , The King, Shane McMahon and, of course, Jim "Oh My Gawd!" Ross.

How could I forget Mankind, Cactus Jack and/or/equal to Mick Foley!
