Leave....or be sacked??

hopefuly not Die

According to 'The League Manager's Association', Tilly's up to 10th longest serving. Apparently Steve Holland is now in charge at Crewe.

Now that’s a record im proud off... thank god the days revolving managers door at the Hall are well gone... Please Ron this not go back to Dark days of the eighties... we used to have about 4 managers year... crowds of 8000/9000 on the 70s... dropped to 2000 in the 80s.... hey just imagined 2000 supporters in a 35,000 capacity stadium a ghost stadium and bankrupt....

Anyone who’s over 35 knows Ron and Steve brought back the club from the dead and now getting great support and maybe soon have great 22,000 stadiums with all the mod cons....

If Ron Martin sells tomorrow I will always shake is hand and say thank you if I saw him in street

TMWLTS bloody hell Have u already 4got about the Rubins n Vic Jobson… Ron is Angel compared to them guys

just as long as its not Tilly who is the next manager to leave I don't care.

Regards to Dario Gradi he is still general manager at Crewe and so techinally still in charge there.
Lets hope tilly is in charge at Southend as long as Gradi has been at Crewe.

Not sure about that one mate.......dont think he will be here in 21 years somehow :)

but not good enough to beat Dagenham a **** poor brighton side, and equally **** poor Orient side

Ok **** happens, every club goes through a bad spell, but with the quality we have and at times decent manager we have, we will stabalise and stay in this league, alot has changed between now and last season and this is a transitional season, most fans on here need to chill out and stop expecting us to be in the premiership in two seasons.

don't know what games you watch but having seen SUFC this season i cannot imagine them going down this year ....

Why not, the figures speak for themselves...a team can look good all they like, but if the ball is not going in the back of the net or they are leaking goals like a sieve, it has relegation written all over it.

i wouldnt mind taylor... but saying that i wouldnt mind a few people to manager the mighty blues

whether we like or not, managers dont stay at clubs forever, they move on
usually for 1 of 3 reasons

1.they die!! which according to bluebell bob or whatever her name is so am i!!

2. they get offered a better job

3. they get the sack

thats a fact of life, now for those 10percent on here that were following the
shrimpers when webb was in charge, we all thought he would last forever
but hey thats 16 years ago now.

so the question is sit back and relax, tillys going at some point, probably sooner ratther than later.

the big question however is this, is ron martin a football man or fan, I think we all know he is not, so does he try and protect his payday the stadium
by dacking tilly . or does he take the romantic notion thats its all alright and doesnt matter thatwe are heading for l2!!!!

i think it matters to him how paying customer go down to fossil farm,
and clearly staying up with an average of about 7,000 is more important than going back to the days of 3,500

the other dilemma is of course that he wants to sell the club does he cash his chips in now, or wait

You may be correct in those "facts of life" but I think you underestimate or be unaware of the strong relationship between Ron and Tilly. Yes, Ron is a businessman but he values Tilly and wont make a judgment on a few games like many people. In fact he probably has more loyalty to Tilly now than ever as I expect Ron is responsible for the signings we have as maybe Tilly would have preferred other players but Ron wouldn't pay the cash.

There are often several sides to a story.
