The Premier$hite, knee-jerk reaction central!

Good point, I sure paul ince is going to be a very good manager at the top level and if this turns out to be true Im sure he would point out his time in the lower leagues helped him no end.

Exactly - Ince has gone about his management career in the right way and he's doing very well for himself. Should he get MK Dons promoted I don't doubt he'll be in demand.

Rumour floating around the Peterborough forums that Barry Fry... Yes, Fat Bazza, is being lined up to replace Hutchings for the time being.

Resigned to relegation already if it's true...

Phil Parry the BBC London commentator wrote about Martin Jol's sacking in our programme. With his departure, Alan Curbishley became the 6th longest serving manager in the London area, and he's been there less than a year.

The other five?

Wenger - top of the Prem
Boothroyd - top of the Championship
Fairclough - playoff positions in League Two
Still - took that shower into the league
Ling - second in League One

Whilst there's obviously an element of the better managers staying in their jobs, all of them have been through hard and disappointing periods in their tenure - just goes to show what a bit of patience, loyalty and stability does for your club.

agree with you js. chairmans seem to think that changing the manager every few games is going make them top the prem.

It's the fear of losing the massive premiership club income that scares them. They pay large wages to try and stay there and then when they go down, go into financial meltdown if they don't get promoted straight back. This is one of the reasons why the chairmen of smaller Prem clubs have itchy trigger fingers I reckon.
