SUFC: The Future The North Bank Return

It has been great for atmosphere and the noise is brilliant.

The view is less great, it would be safer, to take all the seats out and if would end this stupid limbs craze - maybe I am old but someone is going to break a leg, ankle or worse soon.

The old North used to love a surge after a goal but jumping on your mates to make them fall between the seats is not the best idea.

Lots of our hosts have terracing - why can't we? Then when the NB gets redeveloped they can put safe standing in.

Put the away fans in the NW corner and if necessary the first block of the North. That should be more than enough, and give the rest to home fans.

I think it’s clear what a remarkable success it has been.
Each time I’ve gone to my seat there has been a young lad standing there and even had one lad stand on the step right behind me! But every time I’ve asked them to move, they have. No mouthy replies at all. Even an apology once or twice! So no issues really. I do prefer the block along from the BV as it’s a little less crowded.

But it’s certainly surpassed the negativity that some (like Tommy2wholes) were suggesting that it’s been done before and wouldn’t work.

I like a view behind the goal and think it’s better than the west……..so there! 😛

As someone who's been in W for the last few years and moved to the North. Massively passionate about atmosphere, display and visual presence. It's been a massive success and I am praying that next season it's more of the same/even more! Building a culture where we support the team win or lose, sun or rain speaks absolute levels about who we are as a city!

Seen a few comments regarding away fans if we go up ect. The number one key to that is getting Y and Z open. Although I don't know the task size as I think it's to do with concoursing size which of course is going to be borderline impossible to grow by circa 700 to accommodate. Most likely, season tickets would only be sold in NA and NB so that dependant on EFL Rules and if we need to grow the away section. They can push us over one and give NF,NE,ND and part of NC to get the full 1200 if needed.

Personally I think the blue voice / North banks long term goal should be to settle in Y, Z, NA and NB. That's 1400 seats, and means that we should still outnumber any sold out away allocation. Additionally, there's a large gaping gap at the top of Z block to the outside world, getting that patched up would improve the noise in that area when open ten-fold

In summary, awesome, but still a good way to go !
